The Uchiha clan, known from the series Naruto, is renowned as one of the most powerful clans in history, producing some of the greatest ninjas ever. The Uchiha were often feared due to their unique Sharingan ability, which endowed them with numerous skills. Most members of the Uchiha clan possessed this Sharingan, but a select few stood out even among them. Among these exceptional individuals, Itachi Uchiha was particularly admired for his exceptional talent, even surpassing others at the top of their game.

Itachi Uchiha Was One Of The Greatest Ninjas Of All Time

Itachi Uchiha, a member of the Uchiha clan, was exceptionally gifted and stood out among his peers. His father, Fugaku, recognized this exceptional talent and closely monitored Itachi’s development. The harsh realities of war left a profound impact on Itachi, shaping his perspective significantly. War and the resulting loss of life were things he deeply opposed. In fact, it’s said that even at a young age, Itachi displayed the thinking qualities of a Hokage, the title given to the chief administrator of a village in the Naruto universe.

At six years old, Itachi joined the Academy, quickly catching the attention of all his instructors with his exceptional talent. His remarkable abilities earned him permission to take the graduation exam early, which he aced effortlessly. After completing his studies, Itachi’s growth in skills was nothing short of phenomenal, showcasing his vast potential. However, another ninja surpassed Itachi in this specific area during their career together.

Kakashi Hatake, known as the offspring of the White Fang of the Concealed Village, had high expectations placed upon him by the villagers, and indeed, he met and surpassed those expectations in every aspect. At an astonishingly young age of 5, Kakashi aced the Academy exams, then at 6, he earned the rank of Chunin by defeating Might Guy during the examinations. By the tender age of 12, Kakashi had already ascended to the rank of Jonin, making him one of the most powerful ninjas within the Concealed Village.

As a youngster, Kakashi had already surpassed his contemporaries in using ancient jutsu and inventing new ones. They all knew that Kakashi was exceptional and fated for greatness. Interestingly, Kakashi initially lacked the Uchiha’s unique ability, Kekkei Genkai, but received a Sharingan transplant from Obito instead, boosting his abilities further. Remarkably, without being an Uchiha, Kakashi became proficient in all aspects of the Sharingan. It’s not unreasonable to think that Kakashi excelled at mastering the Sharingan more than most Uchiha. In fact, his nicknames like “Kakashi of the Sharingan,” “Hero of the Sharingan,” and “Copy Ninja Kakashi” are a testament to his extraordinary skill in this area.

Kakashi gained an extra level of power upon activating his Mangekyou Sharingan, a unique eye ability that enables him to transport any item or individual into the dimension known as Kamui. This feature made Kakashi exceptionally perilous in battle, as he could swiftly and fatally dispatch an opponent by applying Kamui directly to their head.

It’s important to note that the Mangekyou Sharingan, not being a part of Kakashi’s Uchiha heritage, depleted his chakra at a rapid pace. Also, his left eye tended to bleed excessively during use of Kamui. It seems, in creating Kakashi’s character, Kishimoto intentionally imposed these constraints to prevent Kakashi from exploiting the power it provided.

Kakashi Could Have Become A God Level Ninja

In the midst of the Fourth Great Ninja War, Kakashi obtained not only the Mangekyou Sharingan from Obito but also Six Paths Chakra, significantly boosting his power. This dual ability enabled Kakashi to employ Kamui – both short and long-range versions – unlimited times without any detrimental effects.

During the fight with Kaguya Otsutsuki, Kakashi was able to summon Susanoo, a powerful entity he used in combat. This version of Susanoo could hurl Kamui shuriken, an unique weapon capable of transporting targets into the Kamui dimension. If Kakashi had retained these abilities, his power might have surpassed both Naruto and Sasuke. Yet, the creator (Kishimoto) decided to keep them temporary, and shortly after, Kakashi lost the Mangekyou Sharingan.
