Pokemon GO: 2025 Pokemon World Championships Celebration Event Time & Date

The “Pokémon GO” 2025 World Championships Celebration will take place from Friday, August 15, starting at 10:00 AM local time, all the way until Sunday, August 17, 2025, wrapping up at 8:00 PM local time. Trainers can anticipate a lot of action, as the event is jam-packed with numerous activities to engage in.

The following bonuses will be active during the event:

  • Up to five Special Trades can be made each day.
  • Additional Pokémon encounters along the GO Battle League reward track.
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Pikachu wearing a varsity jacket.

Additionally, certain Pokemon caught or evolved during the event will have a special move:

Lapras caught during the event will know the Charged Attack Ice Beam.
Evolve Mankey during the event to get a Primeape that knows the Charged Attack Rage Fist.
Evolve Primeape during the event to get an Annihilape that knows the Charged Attack Rage Fist.
Evolve Paldean Wooper during the event to get a Clodsire that knows the Charged Attack Megahorn.

At the upcoming event, you’ll encounter unique Raids with one-star and three-star ratings. Among these special encounters will be Pikachu sporting a varsity jacket, Honedge, Lapras, Dusclops, and Diggersby. Out of these featured Pokémon, only Lapras and Pikachu have the chance to appear in their shiny forms.

Field Tasks & Encounters

In this scenario, Field Tasks will become active, and upon their completion, you’ll encounter various Pokémon. However, it’s important to note that the only exception here is Honedge; all other Research Encounter Pokémon encountered can potentially be Shiny.

  • Paldean Wooper
  • Honedge

At this gathering, trainers have a great chance to capture Honedge, one of the strongest Pokémon in the team. Moreover, there are plenty of enhancements and increased possibilities for obtaining coveted shiny Pokémon such as Lapras, Marill, and Paldean Wooper.

To wrap things up, unique animal interactions will showcase a variety of distinctive creatures to capture (some may even sparkle). During the Pokemon GO: 2025 Pokemon World Championships Celebration Event, trainers will have the opportunity to meet and collect the following pocket monsters: Female Nidoran, Mankey, Marill, Paldean Wooper, Spoink, Inkay, Rookidee, Fuecoco, Male Frillish, and Vullaby.

GO Battle Weekend: Delightful Days

Individuals joining the PvP event named “GO Battle Weekend: Delightful Days” (from August 15, 2025 at midnight until August 17, 2025 at 11:59 PM local time), will find a unique new battlefield incorporated into Pokemon Trainer Battles. This battlefield showcases the emblem of the 2025 World Championships.

During this event, players stand to earn four times the usual Stardust from PvP victories. Additionally, they can complete more battle sets each day, as the daily cap has been increased to twenty. Players will also be gifted a free Special Research that offers an Avatar item reminiscent of the Battle Tower – specifically, battle shoes.
