The series known as “Attack on Titan” initially started as a comic or manga back in 2009. A few years later, in 2013, it was transformed into an animated adaptation. Instead of adding unnecessary content to stretch the story, the anime creators opted for substantial pauses between seasons to allow the manga to progress at its own pace. This strategy helped to avoid filler content, but it also prolonged the anticipation for fans.
Due to its incredible popularity, each new season of Attack on Titan generated a lot of excitement. Now that the series is over, both the anime and manga have left an indelible mark on fans. It’s unfortunate that it has ended, but nothing can diminish the greatness of this work as a whole. Let’s dive in and rate the most memorable battles based on their quality and intensity.

Sasha Proves Herself
Episode 27: I’m Home

In the second season, events take a while to gain pace, yet the second episode offers a pivotal character development for Sasha. Upon her return to her village, she finds it nearly abandoned, with only one house standing. Inside, a Titan is devouring a woman, while her daughter is frozen in shock nearby. Sasha tries to eliminate the Titan using an axe, but fails; instead, she rescues the young girl and attempts an escape. Eventually, Sasha vanquishes the Titan with a bow. Despite lacking high-action scenes, this sequence is filled with tension and intrigue.
Plugging Up Wall Rose
Episode 13: Primal Desire

In the initial season, tension gradually increases, leading to a major assault on the Walls. This results in the cadets embarking on their first significant mission. Throughout these episodes, there are several intense battles, culminating in episode thirteen. During this time, the cadets protect Eren, who transforms into the Attack Titan, and carries a boulder to seal Wall Rose. Eren’s determination despite his comrades either perishing or brushing death close by highlights the series’ strength at creating suspense.
The Scouts vs. The Yaegerists
Episode 86: Retrospective

In the concluding scenes of season four, just prior to the last two films, a tense and exciting sequence unfolds. Joining forces with Marlians, Armin and his group are tasked with penetrating the stronghold of Yaegerists. Unfortunately, the infiltration mission fails, leading to a brutal human conflict where the allied forces find themselves overpowered and outmatched, despite having Titans on their side.
In this rephrased version, the sequence is described as tense and exciting, and the characters are tasked with infiltrating an enemy stronghold. The mission fails, leading to a human conflict where the allied forces are at a disadvantage due to being outnumbered and outgunned, even with Titans on their side.
In each instance, it appears as though they might succumb to defeat, with Floch being on the verge of destroying their valuable vessel. Ultimately, the combined forces emerged victorious, but at the price of having to take more lives of their comrades yet again. The Scouts undoubtedly made significant sacrifices during the conflict.
The Scouts vs. the Female Titan
Episode 24: Mercy

As a die-hard fan, let me tell you that season one’s finale left an indelible mark on me for several compelling reasons, especially starting from episode 24. In this episode, the moment Armin uncovers Annie as the Female Titan is nothing short of electrifying! Using his swift intellect, he concocts a brilliant plan to subdue her. The battle between Annie and the Scouts that ensues is absolutely heart-pounding, resulting in Annie’s capture within a net, albeit at a heavy cost of bloodshed. However, she manages to break free only for Eren to regain his Attack Titan powers and take her down once more. The epic duel between them continues into episode 25, concluding with Annie encasing herself in an ice-like prison.
Levi vs. the Beast Titan
Episode 54: Hero

During the latter part of season three, the Scouts resume battling Titans, focusing on a military campaign against the Armored, Beast, and Colossal Titans. However, the odds are not in their favor, and Erwin discerns that their only remaining strategy is an act of self-sacrifice. He directs a group of Scouts to confront the Beast Titan, while Levi stealthily navigates through smaller Titans en route to the Beast Titan, taking him unawares. With his swift and deadly maneuvers, Levi appears as a powerful natural force, effortlessly slicing through the Beast Titan’s arms, heels, and neck.
The Scouts vs. the Anti-Personnel Control Squad
Episode 44: Wish

In the third season, there’s a significant shift in emphasis, as humans become the primary adversaries for the Scouts. Throughout the seasons, they engage in sporadic conflicts, but the intensity of their struggles reaches a peak in episode 44, marking the zenith of their war efforts.
Levi and his team venture into the ancestral lair belonging to the Reiss family with the aim of rescuing Eren and Historia. Opposing them are the king’s internal forces, known as the Anti-Personal Control Squad, who opt for ODM Gear and firearms rather than traditional swords. This thrilling scene is tough to surpass due to its distinct and fascinating backdrop.
Eren Brings The Fight To Marley
Episode 65: The War Hammer Titan

In the early part of season four, it’s revealed that the enigmatic figure Falco converses with initially is none other than Eren. Hiding in secret, Eren unveils himself as the Attack Titan on the day of celebration within Marley, causing widespread destruction to the nation. Although his allies offer some assistance using their ODM Gear, Eren manages to single-handedly defeat the War Hammer, Jaw, Beast, and Cart Titans. From episode 65 through 66, this transformed Eren displays immense power as he ruthlessly subdues his adversaries.
The Global Assault On The Founding Titan
Episode SP-2

In an anime like Attack on Titan, the most epic battle is usually saved for last, and this holding true in its final episode aired in a special 90-minute format. Here, the remaining alliance squad confronts Eren, now in his Founding Titan form. The Scouts, equipped with ODM Gear, along with transformed allied Titans, put up a fierce fight on Eren’s back. Later, Eren and Armin engage in an intense duel while transforming into their Colossal Titan forms. However, the highlight of the episode are the breathtaking battles atop the Founding Titan, praised for their stunning animation quality and exciting build-up for fans.
