LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Revealed at Gamescom ONL

It’s been unveiled at Gamescom Opening Night Live that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is on its way, and fans of the dark knight can’t wait for it!

LEGO has recently unveiled several new games coming up, with LEGO Party being one of the highlights set for release in September and potentially rivaling Mario Party. Another game, LEGO Voyagers, is due out soon as well. Notably, today’s announcement of the LEGO Batman game suggests it will follow a similar style to that of the LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga, supporting earlier rumors about its development.

LEGO Batman will feature a number of classic characters

The video game, titled ‘LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight,’ presents a fresh open-world action-adventure experience. This game invites you to join Bruce Wayne on his transformative journey towards becoming Gotham City’s ultimate hero, drawing inspiration from numerous Batman movies, TV shows, comics, and video games. The game offers plenty of Batman nostalgia, DC Universe lore, and the classic LEGO Games humor that adds fun to every adventure.

Take a look at the LEGO Batman trailer down below. This game is slated for release in 2026, available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and personal computers (PC).

The forthcoming LEGO Batman video game is being crafted by TT Games, the same team behind The Skywalker Saga and past Batman games. Since 2014, when “Batman 3: Beyond Gotham” hit the shelves, this is their latest offering in the series. Unlike its predecessors that took cues from comic books, this new addition centers solely on material from live-action films. Gamers can expect to encounter and engage with characters they’ve seen on the big screen, as well as assume control of several of them.
