Game Science Confirms Black Myth: Wukong Journey ‘Won’t End Here’

The makers of Game Science have hinted at an expansion to the Black Myth: Wukong storyline, implying that the epic Journey to the West saga continues.

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement! Last year, a game that took the industry by storm is finally making its way to Xbox, landing on August 20th.

Instead, the closing act of Gamescom Opening Night Live showcased a debut trailer for Black Myth: Zhong Kui, an innovative game developed by Game Science that doesn’t follow the storyline of Black Myth: Wukong. However, there may be additional installments in the future.

Black Myth: Wukong Journey Will Continue

On the main site for Black Myth: Zhong Kui, a collection of Q&As was disclosed about the progress of this upcoming title. Notably, they clarified their choice to produce an entirely new game instead of spinning off a sequel from Black Myth: Wukong.

In simpler terms, Game Science expressed their intention to make an initial venture into creating new and innovative games, aiming to push the boundaries of their design features and introduce unique concepts to their game worlds and storylines.

In closing, an important note about Wukong was revealed: “For all friends fond of Black Myth, Wukong’s western voyage doesn’t conclude here.

There’s some uncertainty about whether the saga of Wukong will carry on in a fresh series titled as a follow-up, or if additional content (Downloadable Content) is being developed for the initial release instead.

Zhong Kui is released, which is still quite some time away given that development is currently in its early stages, and even the creators themselves are unsure about when it will be launched.
