At this year’s Gamescom 2025, it was announced that the highly acclaimed game “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice” will receive an anime adaptation, exclusively on Crunchyroll, titled “Sekiro: No Defeat.” Released in 2019, “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice” is a fan favorite among FromSoftware’s releases and has taken home multiple awards.
In the tradition of popular action-adventure games like Castlevania and Devil May Cry, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is set to have an anime series based on it. The game was a massive success, both critically and financially, earning FromSoftware their first Game of the Year award at The Game Awards. Back in August, a domain registration hinted at the creation of Sekiro’s anime adaptation, and now that theory has been confirmed.
