Naoki Yoshida, producer and director of Final Fantasy 14, has announced that the Beastmaster Limited Job and the upcoming Ultimate Raid are planned to debut in Patch 7.5 or later updates. Since the typical release schedule for Final Fantasy 14, the 7.5 update is currently projected for the early part of 2026.
Yoshida made his statement following the release of Patch 7.3, titled The Promise of Tomorrow, which marked the climactic point in the main storyline of Final Fantasy 14’s Dawntrail saga. Although this update was divided into three parts, the bulk of it became available on August 5, introducing a new alliance raid, San d’Oria: The Second Walk, as well as balancing adjustments to jobs such as the Viper and Pictomancer. However, Final Fantasy 14’s 7.3 update was also notable for an unexpected absence – the second Ultimate Raid in Dawntrail was conspicuously missing.
Final Fantasy 14’s Beastmaster and Next Ultimate Raid Have A Release Window
For fans of Final Fantasy 14 eagerly anticipating new Ultimate raids, there’s hope on the horizon. During a recent interview at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, Yoshida revealed that both the upcoming Ultimate raid and the Beastmaster Limited Job are in development. According to Yoshida, these updates have a release window planned for Patch 7.5, which typically arrives every four months following major content patches. Since Patch 7.3 went live on August 5, Patch 7.4 might drop around mid to late December 2025 or be delayed until January 2026 if Square Enix decides to take a winter break. If the usual pattern persists, we can expect Patch 7.5 with the new content by Spring 2026 at the earliest. Yoshida added that these high-end battle experiences would offer an engaging challenge for players who enjoy tackling tough content.

The exact theme for the upcoming Ultimate raid in Final Fantasy 14 is yet to be revealed, leaving fans eagerly anticipating further updates. As for the anticipated Beastmaster, it marks the second Limited Job to join Final Fantasy 14 after the introduction of the Blue Mage in early 2019. However, specifics about the Beastmaster such as its weapons and abilities are still shrouded in mystery at this time.

For a while now, enthusiasts of Final Fantasy 14 can anticipate a fresh test, as Arkveld the Guardian from Monster Hunter World is set to arrive in early October within the scope of a crossover event. With all the material that’s coming up for Final Fantasy 14 players, we’ll just have to wait and see if it will be sufficient to satisfy their hunger before the game’s upcoming expansion arrives.
