One Piece: Oda Has Already Revealed Another God-Tier Haki User

This post contains spoilers for One Piece.

The climactic arc of One Piece, known as the Final Saga, is teeming with a diverse array of intriguing characters. Notably, Oda has been incorporating characters who previously had minimal involvement in the storyline, primarily those from earlier stages. Additionally, the creator of One Piece has introduced several fresh characters, with their primary appeal lying in their formidable power levels.

Harald Is A God Tier Haki User

Harald’s Haki Was As Strong As Rocks’

  • Harald was as strong as Rocks
  • His physical strength was miles above the rest

Harald served as the monarch of Elbaf, striving for and instigating numerous beneficial transformations within the nation. His ultimate aim was to establish Elbaf as an ally of the World Government, thereby assuaging people’s apprehensions towards Giants. Additionally, he endeavored to ameliorate Elbaf’s diplomatic ties with other nations. The citizens of Elbaf hold Harald in high regard, viewing him as the most exceptional ruler their history has known. Harald was not only benevolent and courteous but also a formidable warrior.

I am the King. —Harald

On numerous occasions throughout the tale, Harald’s formidable prowess has been showcased prominently. One such instance occurred during a fierce encounter involving Haki, a powerful technique, between Harald and Rocks D. Xebec in Marijoa. The intensity of this confrontation was so immense that it obliterated everything within a 5-kilometer radius. So taken aback was Rocks by Harald’s abilities that he consistently attempted to enlist him, yet every attempt was met with a refusal from Harald, as he remained steadfast in his duty to protect his nation.

For the first time, a significant dispute unfolded between Rocks and Harald in Elbaf. The dispute arose when Harald was enticed by the World Government’s proposal to make Elbaf an associate nation. Given his loyalty to their country, Harald had to put it before their friendship and engage in a fierce battle with Rocks. The altercation left both of them injured and bleeding, demonstrating that they did not hold back during the fight. Fortunately for both parties, the fight ended inconclusively, marking the end of their friendship. Given Harald’s ability to challenge Rocks, it is evident that his Haki was exceptionally powerful, as Rocks would have won otherwise.

Rocks Was Still The Strongest Character Of The Era

Though Harald managed to match Rocks in strength, it seemed that Rocks was slightly stronger than the Giant. His frequent battles against powerful warriors likely enhanced his exceptional Haki abilities even further. Rocks’ Haki and swordsmanship made him a formidable foe. His sword attacks were as powerful as cannonballs, capable of demolishing the Gates of Justice. Given that Rocks accomplished this feat without any supernatural powers or physical advantages, it was indeed remarkable.

Remarkably, Rocks demonstrated other notable achievements too. He’s the only one known to have assassinated an Admiral, a feat unmatched since then. Additionally, Rocks successfully infiltrated Marijoa and the Chamber of Flowers undetected. To add to that, he abducted five rulers – evidence that sets him apart from others.

Gol D. Roger Eventually Surpassed Rocks

Initially, Rocks held more power than Roger, but that changed over time. Roger gradually grew stronger, eventually outshining Rocks and ascending to the position of Pirate King. During his peak, Roger was capable of defeating an opponent of Kozuki Oden’s strength with a single strike. It’s significant to note that this same Oden gave Kaido quite a beating. Furthermore, Roger engaged in numerous confrontations with Whitebeard and Garp, yet he never suffered a defeat in any of these encounters.

In keeping with typical shonen series tradition, it’s expected that Roger will eventually be surpassed by a new generation, and it seems likely that Shanks has already surpassed him as the strongest character in “One Piece.” Scopper Gaban refers to Shanks as the ‘Child of Fate,’ suggesting he’s destined for greatness. Even Roger recognized Shanks’ potential, entrusting him with the Straw Hat. However, despite Shanks being stronger than Roger, Luffy is set to surpass everyone in “One Piece.” Given his role as the main protagonist, it’s logical that Luffy will eventually become the most powerful character in the series’ history.
