The actress portraying Isabella Torrisi in *Mafia: The Old Country* recently announced that a new game in the *Mafia* series is in development. *Mafia: The Old Country*, created by Hangar 13 and published by 2K, appears to have performed well enough for 2K to approve a sequel.
Released earlier this year, *Mafia: The Old Country* is the fourth game in the *Mafia* series. It’s a prequel set in early 1900s Sicily, in the city of San Celeste, and tells the story of Enzo Favara as he becomes part of the Torrisi crime family. Unlike *Mafia 3*, this game offers a more focused, straightforward story rather than a large open world with many side activities. While critics had mixed reactions – some found the mob storyline predictable – they generally praised the game’s beautiful depiction of the Sicilian landscape.
Mafia: The Old Country Actress Claims Another Game Is in the Works
During a recent Twitch stream with bubbly_nuggets_, actress Carina Conti – known for her role as Isabella Torrisi in *Mafia: The Old Country* – revealed that a new *Mafia* game is officially in development. She explained that while *Mafia* games usually tell separate stories, they often share a connected universe. It’s currently unknown whether the upcoming game will continue the existing storyline or introduce a completely new one with different characters.
We don’t know much about the next installment in the series yet, but fans are wondering if it will follow a straightforward storyline like the first two games, or if it will offer more freedom like the third. The recent game, *Mafia: The Old Country*, was specifically sold as a shorter, story-driven experience, and it’s unclear if the sequel will take the same approach.

Even though the game has been approved, it doesn’t mean a new *Mafia* game will come out soon, but it’s still great news for fans. *Mafia: The Old Country* didn’t reach huge player numbers, peaking at a little over 35,000 on Steam, and some worried that meant it wasn’t successful. However, the approval of a sequel suggests that wasn’t the case.

Hangar 13 is still working on improving *Mafia: The Old Country* with regular updates. Recent fixes have addressed bugs, made the game’s interface more user-friendly, increased stability, and improved how enemies move and respond, resulting in a better overall playing experience.
