Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Adds Co-Op Game With ‘Very Positive’ Reviews

The game *Sworn* is now available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, starting today, September 23rd. It’s the tenth game added to the service this September and the 118th new game added to Xbox Game Pass so far this year.

Sworn is an action RPG with roguelike elements, developed by Windwalk Games and published by Team17, the creators of the *Worms* series. It’s a visually striking game with a unique cel-shaded style – think bold lines inspired by the art of *Hellboy* creator Michael Mignola – and fast-paced combat for one to four players. Players take on the role of adventurers attempting to liberate a dark and twisted version of Camelot from the tyrannical rule of a corrupted King Arthur and his Knights. Like the popular game *Hades*, *Sworn* offers a variety of unlockable characters and has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from players on Steam, with over 1,600 “Very Positive” reviews.

Sworn 1.0 Lands on Xbox Game Pass

Sworn first became available as an early access game on Steam in February 2025. The full version of the game launched on PC and consoles on September 23rd, about seven and a half months later. With this launch, the roguelike action RPG also joined the Xbox Game Pass library. While there isn’t a dedicated version for Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can still play Sworn on that console using Xbox Cloud Gaming.

When Will Sworn Reach Xbox Game Pass Standard?

Even though *Sworn* has been playable for a while now, Microsoft is launching it as if it’s brand new. To play it with Xbox Game Pass, you’ll need an Ultimate or PC Game Pass membership. Based on how similar games have been added in the past, *Sworn* is likely to become available with the standard Game Pass tier sometime between March and September of 2026. For now, its release adds another option to the growing number of roguelike games available through Microsoft’s service. Interestingly, *Sworn* will be competing for players’ time with *Hades*, the game that heavily influenced it, as *Hades* recently returned to Xbox Game Pass on September 19th.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers have three new games to look forward to before the end of September 2025. Both *Visions of Mana* and *Peppa Pig: World Adventures* will be available starting September 25th, and *Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light* will join the lineup five days after that. However, September 30th will also see the removal of three *Ninja Gaiden* titles from the service.

Based on past patterns, Microsoft is likely to reveal the first wave of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in October 2025 on October 7th. We might also see some surprise game additions a bit earlier, around September 25th, during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 broadcast. Last year, Microsoft unexpectedly added four games to Game Pass during their TGS livestream, so it’s a possibility again this year.
