Demon Slayer Moments We Can’t Wait To See In The Second Infinity Castle Movie

The new movie, *Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle – Part 1: Akaza Returns*, is playing in theaters now and is already a huge hit with both audiences and critics. While fans were concerned about a long wait to see the final story arc animated, this first film shows the incredible quality and animation will make it worthwhile.

Fans are still very excited about *Infinity Castle – Part 2*, particularly those who are familiar with the original manga by Koyoharu Gotouge. While it’s unclear exactly how much of the story this second film will include, considering what was covered in *Part 1*, viewers can expect to see some of the most thrilling and iconic moments from the Infinity Castle Arc brought to life on the big screen, and here are a few examples of what they’re looking forward to.

Inosuke Arrives To Help Kanao

Kanao Receives Help From An Unexpected Ally

  • Chapter 158: Chaos

The first part of *Infinity Castle* showed the heartbreaking death of Shinobu Kocho at the hands of Doma, leaving viewers with a shocking cliffhanger as Kanao Tsuyuri arrived moments too late. The second part will likely begin with this dramatic confrontation, but fans of the manga know that one more character is still expected to appear in the battle.

Inosuke Hashibira, the fan-favorite character who always wears a boar mask, dramatically crashes through the ceiling to protect Kanao from a strong attack by Doma. This rescue sparks an incredible battle – one of the best in the whole series – and the animated version promises to be just as thrilling.

Kanao And Inosuke Defeat Doma

The Satisfying End Of One Of The Series’ Most Despicable Characters

  • Chapter 162: Trio of Victory

The upcoming fight between Kanao and Inosuke against Doma is expected to be visually stunning, as Ufotable consistently delivers incredible action animation. Many fans are especially eager to see how the young Demon Slayers ultimately triumph in this battle.

Just as Doma appears to win with a massive ice statue, Kanao achieves the peak of Flower Breathing and attacks his neck. However, she lacks the strength to break through, so Inosuke throws his swords to assist, resulting in a truly spectacular and rewarding climax. Seeing this final attack on the big screen will be incredible, especially combined with Doma’s last moments and his emotional reunion with Shinobu before his ultimate fate.

Obanai And Mitsuri Find Nakime

The Serpent Hashira And The Love Hashira Will Finally Do Something

  • Chapter 164: Just Overdid It A Little

The Infinity Castle Arc features a large cast of characters, and some didn’t have significant roles in the first part of the story. That will be rectified in Part 2, where characters like Obanai Iguro, the Serpent Hashira, and Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira, will have much more prominent parts.

While exploring the castle, they unexpectedly encounter Nakime, the new Upper Rank Four demon who can manipulate space. She’s the one responsible for making the Infinity Castle so vast and disorienting. Although the battle with her is brief, it’s exciting to see this powerful duo fight, particularly Obanai, as he hasn’t had much chance to demonstrate his unique Serpent Breathing style in the series so far.

Kokushibo Uses Moon Breathing

Upper Rank Two Will Get To Showcase His Immense Strength

  • Chapter 165: Stunned and Trembling

The fight between Muichiro Tokito, Genya Shinazugawa, Sanemi Shinazugawa, Gyomei Himejima, and Kokushibo is easily one of the most thrilling battles in the entire series, and fans who read the manga are eagerly anticipating its animated adaptation. Viewers will finally witness the Wind and Stone Hashira facing off against an incredibly strong opponent, and Kokushibo will demonstrate why he deserves to be known as Upper Rank One.

Kokushibo is the only demon who uses Moon Breathing, and he combines it with his Crescent Moon Blades technique. This allows him to fight incredibly effectively, even against multiple powerful Demon Slayers – including three of the Hashira. Given the high quality of Ufotable’s animation, Moon Breathing is expected to look stunning on screen, making this battle even more exciting and unforgettable.

Genya Shinazugawa’s Tragic Death

One Of The Most Heartbreaking Moments In The Entire Series

  • Chapter 179: Feelings For Elder Brother, Feelings For Younger Brother

The Infinity Castle Arc features several heartbreaking deaths, but the passing of Genya Shinazugawa, after the final battle with Kokushibo, remains one of the most profoundly sad moments for fans. While no one wants to relive his death, the scene is likely to be powerfully animated and will provide a satisfying emotional conclusion to his story.

Genya and his older brother, Sanemi, had a very difficult relationship. While it would have been predictable for Sanemi to sacrifice himself, the author, Koyoharu Gotouge, surprised audiences by having Genya die instead. His final moments, especially his last words – “My big brother… is the nicest person in this world” – are sure to be incredibly emotional for viewers in the upcoming second part.

Muzan Kibutsuji Emerges From His Cocoon

The Final Boss Of The Series Will Join The Fray

  • Chapter 180: Recovery

Despite being the main villain, Muzan Kibutsuji didn’t have a significant role in *Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle – Part 1*. After being surprised by Ubayashiki’s attack and weakened by a drug created by Lady Tamayo that temporarily made him human, he remained hidden inside a cocoon of flesh, avoiding the Demon Slayers while trying to reverse the drug’s effects.

I’m expecting *Infinity Castle – Part 2* to end with Muzan’s return, and it looks like it’s going to be a truly massive, but frightening, moment. Seeing him break out of his cocoon with a completely redesigned look, then immediately kill Tamayo and easily defeat a lot of the weaker Demon Slayers, was genuinely chilling. It really felt like a turning point, establishing him as the ultimate villain the heroes will have to face in the final movie.

Yushiro Hijacks Nakime

This Noble Demon Takes Control Of The Infinity Castle

  • Chapter 182: Rage

Yushiro quickly became a vital character during the Infinity Castle Arc, as shown in the first film. He allowed Kiriya Ubuyashiki to use his Blood Demon Art to help the Demon Slayer Corps create a map of the ever-changing castle. He also rescued Zenitsu and treated his wounds after Zenitsu’s fight with Kaigaku.

Thankfully, Tamayo’s dedicated assistant will be even more important in the next movie. After his master’s death, Yushiro bravely attacks Nakime during her battle with Obanai and Mitsuri, using his unique power to take control of the Infinity Castle. This pivotal moment dramatically shifts the course of the fight, leading to an amazing showdown between Yushiro and Muzan as they both try to control Nakime.

The Beginning Of The Final Battle

Part 2 Will End In A Cliffhanger That Will Be Solved In Part 3

  • Chapter 184: Leaving the Warfront

Many fans of *Demon Slayer* divide the Infinity Castle Arc into two parts: the team’s first entry into the castle itself, and the fight that follows outside, often called the Sunrise Countdown Arc. While the final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji will be in *Infinity Castle – Part 3*, *Part 2* will likely end on a cliffhanger, leading into that big showdown.

Growing frustrated with the ongoing battle against Yushiro and the Hashira, Muzan abruptly kills Nakime with his mind, instantly destroying the Infinity Castle. As everyone emerges, they realize the sun is still ninety minutes away, meaning they must withstand Muzan’s relentless attacks if they hope to win. He further fuels the tension by mocking and challenging them. This creates a perfect cliffhanger ending for the film, leaving audiences eagerly anticipating the release of *Part 3*.
