Okay, so the Scavenger outfit in *Dying Light: The Beast* isn’t exactly what I’d wear when I’m about to fight a ton of Biters, but if I’m just trying to gather supplies? It’s amazing! Each piece of the set lets me carry more stuff while I’m exploring Castor Woods. Honestly, like the Explorer armor, getting this set early on can really help you get ahead. It makes resource gathering SO much easier.
Throughout *Dying Light: The Beast*, players can find lots of useful items, including the Scavenger set. You can acquire this set after only a few hours of gameplay. Here’s a guide to all the locations where you can find each piece of the set.
Use our interactive map for *Dying Light: The Beast* to help you find locations. Keep in mind that the in-game map is oriented to the southeast, so all directions in this guide are based on that perspective.
Where to Get the Scavenger Headset in Dying Light: The Beast
Okay, so first thing’s first, you need the Scavenger Headset. I found it in the basement of a little Nate Market grocery store – it’s south-southeast of the Old Town Hall. Just a heads-up, this whole area is a Dark Zone, which means zombies *everywhere* – some are chilling, some aren’t. You can try to sneak past them if you’re careful, or take ’em down quietly with a bow or crossbow. That’s what I did!
To find the Scavenger Headset, first unlock the door to the basement. Then, in the room next to the main loot room, open the vent in the corner. You’ll find the headset on a small table close to some boxes.
Where to Get the Scavenger Reinforced Jeans in Dying Light: The Beast
The pants for the Scavenger set are available at a Vanity Store located east-southeast of Old Town Hall. It’s right near the courtyard, and you’ll see the store’s icon as soon as you arrive at town hall.
To get the pants, simply unlock the loot room door. You’ll find them on the shelf immediately to the right as you enter.
Where to Get the Scavenger Boots in Dying Light: The Beast
You can find the boots for the Scavenger set inside a locker at the Taurus Megastore. It’s located right above the Recreation Island Tower Safe Spot marker on the map. The megastore is a large, red-brick warehouse with an entrance tucked away between cardboard boxes near a truck.
Okay, so I found out where the boots are – they’re in the break room way in the back of the store. Heads up, though, the place is swarming with infected, and there are even two Screamers! I’ll have to either sneak past them or take them down. But honestly, I should probably spend a little time looting the store while I’m there, it’s packed with useful stuff.
Taurus Megastore is the ideal spot to unleash your inner power. Feel free to explore and quickly find what you need – think of it as a fast-paced, energetic shopping experience!
Where to Get the Scavenger Arm Wraps in Dying Light: The Beast
You can find the bracers for the Scavenger set at another Nate Market. This one is located south of Town Hall, across the bridge. It’s a much larger store than the first, and you’ll encounter three Screamers and many zombies inside.
Either quietly slip past people or fight your way through to the break room in the back. Open the door and climb through the vent. You’ll find the Scavenger bracers near the body of the manager.
Where to Get the Scavenger Chest Piece in Dying Light: The Beast
You can find the Scavenger Reinforced Shirt at a Vanity Store in the Villa area. It’s located just to the right of the Nate Market marker on the map. The store is laid out much like the one near Town Hall, so look for the shirt in the backroom – you should be able to find it easily.
You can find the blueprint for the Lucky Duck Charm in the back room of the Vanity Store. This charm boosts the number of common crafting materials you find when searching, making it a great addition if you’re already using Scavenger gear.
Where to Get the Scavenger Gloves in Dying Light: The Beast
You’ll find the last piece of the armor set at another Nate Market, this one located in the Farmlands. To get there, leave the Vanity Store and follow the road heading west. After you cross the freeway, you’ll be in the Farmlands, and the Nate Market should be close by.
Good news – this Dark Zone is smaller than the previous one. Clear out the undead, then head down to the basement. Similar to the grocery store near Town Hall, you’ll need to crawl through a vent to reach the main loot room. The Scavenger Fingerless Glove is locked inside a cabinet there.
What Does the Scavenger Set Do?
While wearing a complete set of Scavenger armor, you get the following bonuses:
- +36% Common Craftparts loot
- +18% Uncommon Craftparts loot
- +24% Damage (Accessories)
If you’re always short on Rags for Bandages or other healing supplies, or need more crafting materials for weapon upgrades, focusing on raiding Dark Zones while equipped with a Scavenger set is a great strategy. This will increase the amount of crafting materials you find from all sources, like zombies and mercenaries.
The armor descriptions aren’t clear about what ‘Accessories’ means, but in *Dying Light 2*, it referred to things you throw – like molotovs, grenades, mines, and throwing knives. If that’s still true in *Dying Light: The Beast*, then the Scavenger set will be a great pick if you use those items often.
If you’re looking for armor that’s better for combat, we recommend the Mercenary set. It boosts your damage with headshots and lowers the damage you receive from infected enemies. Plus, it makes guns easier to control with reduced recoil, making it a solid all-around choice. You can find the pieces of this set by exploring specific Safe Spots on top of watchtowers around the map.
