Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 – Akaza’s Return was a huge hit and is expected to have a significant impact on the anime world. It’s become the top-grossing film in Japan, but it’s not the end of the story. Demon Slayer has two more movies coming: Infinity Castle Part 2 and Part 3, and fans are incredibly excited. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 is the next movie fans are looking forward to, and there’s a lot to expect.
A 2027 Release Date
The Most Likely Year for It To Drop

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 promises to be a thrilling continuation, building on the excitement of the first part that was recently released. However, fans are most eager to find out when they can expect to see it. While there hasn’t been an official announcement yet, several leaks and rumors suggest a 2027 release date, and many are already counting down the days.
More Backstories Are in Store
Inosuke And Other Characters Will Have Their Pasts Revealed

A highlight of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 that some viewers might not expect, but should definitely anticipate, is the backstories. We’re going to learn a lot more about the characters’ pasts. These won’t just focus on Demon Slayers like Inosuke; we’ll also get to see the histories of Demons, including Kokushibo. These stories promise to be amazing, and will help us understand the characters and *why* they do what they do, adding a lot more emotional weight to the series.
Kokushibo’s Battle Begins
Kokushibo Will Fight Gyomei, Sanemi, Genya, and Muichiro
For many fans, the battle everyone is most looking forward to in Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 is definitely the fight between Kokushibo, the Upper Rank One, and the Demon Slayers. This fight is expected to be the most intense one yet, as Kokushibo faces off against a team consisting of Gyomei, Sanemi, Genya, and Muichiro. During this battle, Kokushibo will demonstrate why he’s the second strongest demon after Muzan, and he’s likely to win over a lot of new fans.
Doma’s Battle Continues
Kanao and Inosuke Continue Where Shinobu Left Off
The fight with Doma happened first in the initial movie. Doma, who was an Upper Rank Two, confronted one of the Hashira, Shinobu. While Shinobu put up a good fight, a single Hashira wasn’t strong enough to defeat a demon as powerful as Doma.
Her battle will be continued by Kanao and Inosuke, who will finally take him down once and for all.
Nakime Causes Trouble
Mitsuri and Obanai Try to Face Off Against Her
Nakime is a newly introduced Upper Rank, and she holds the position of Upper Rank Four. She could be the most powerful demon after Muzan, because she has complete control over the Infinity Castle. Defeating her will be incredibly difficult, even just approaching her presents a major hurdle. Despite this, Mitsuri and Obanai plan to fight her and keep her occupied, while Yushiro attempts to sneak past her defenses and deliver the final blow.
The Infinity Castle Finally Crumbles
Nakime’s Defeat Will Mark the End of the Second Movie

As many fans are aware, the Infinity Castle is actually a Blood Demon Art created by Nakime, a formidable demon and the newest Upper Rank 4. The castle will fall once she’s defeated, and that happens in the second movie.
Muzan will personally kill Nakime once her position is revealed, which will cause the Infinity Castle to collapse. This will allow the Demon Slayer team to engage Muzan in a final showdown, as he will finally be vulnerable to sunlight.
More Deaths Are Coming for the Demon Slayers
Muichiro and Genya Will Be Among The Casualties

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 already left fans devastated. The death of Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira-a fan favorite-was particularly heartbreaking. Unfortunately, things are set to get even more difficult as the story continues in the second movie. We can expect more characters to die, most notably the Mist Hashira, Muichiro, and Genya, Sanemi’s brother. Both will be defeated by the incredibly powerful Upper Rank 1.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 is now playing in cinemas. If you can’t wait for the film releases, you can read the story in the manga on Manga Plus. The anime series currently has 4 seasons, all available to stream on Crunchyroll. The rest of the story will be released as movies, so fans will need to see them in theaters when they become available in their country.
