More than ten years have passed since Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down as manager, and Manchester United is still striving to recapture its previous success. Although they’ve had some decent seasons, United recently recorded their lowest-ever Premier League finish, and the start of the 2025/26 season hasn’t been particularly strong.
I’m really excited that in EA Sports FC 26’s Career Mode, we’ll be able to take the reins at Man Utd! I’m hoping I can step in as manager after Ruben Amorim and really turn things around, eventually getting them back to being a top Prem team. We can start right at the beginning of the season, or jump in mid-season – maybe even after that tough loss to Brentford. Either way, if I want to rebuild Manchester United in FC 26, here are some players I think would be great signings.
The Initial Squads feature will become available once Cunha and Mbuemo join, but before Sesko arrives. The Current Squads will include all players who have been purchased, and will also reflect any loan deals, such as Onana and Sancho being loaned out.

Looking ahead, Everton has two center-backs, Branthwaite and O’Brien, who both show a lot of promise and could be valuable additions.
