If you recognize a character’s voice but can’t place the actor, we’ve put together a list of the main characters and the actors who portray them in Ghost of Yotei. Japanese Cast: Ai Fairouz

Erika Ishii stars as the Ghost of Yotei in Ghost of Yotei. She portrays Atsu, a woman struggling with past trauma, a thirst for revenge, and a determination to not rest until she defeats the Yotei Six. Erika Ishii is well-known for her work in other popular titles, including Valkyrie in Apex Legends, Sektor in Mortal Kombat 1, and the Rook in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Having lent her voice and performance skills to many projects, it appears that her role as Atsu in Ghost of Yotei is her most significant work to date.

Feodor Chin as Lord Saito

Zenyatta in Overwatch 2, and Other Voices in Ghost of Tsushima

Japanese Cast: Mio Tanaka

Lord Saito is responsible for the tragedy in Atsu’s childhood. He took everything from her, leaving her for dead amongst the bodies of her parents and the burning tree that destroyed their home. He now governs Ezo with a band of outlaws, and the other members of the Yotei Six are completely devoted to him. Given how cruel and controlling Lord Saito is, it’s fitting that a seasoned actor with extensive experience in video games portrays him. Players may recognize his voice as that of Feodor Chin. Feodor Chin voiced Zenyatta in Overwatch 2, and also brought to life characters like Harunobu Adachi and Yamato in Ghost of Tsushima.

Robert Wu as The Snake

Mister Washee Washee in Family Guy

Japanese Cast: Tomokazu Sugita

The Snake doesn’t offer much conversation, being Atsu’s primary target. She’s not worried about his insults, but rather about eliminating him from her list – permanently. Though he has a minor role with limited dialogue, players may recognize The Snake as Robert Wu. This cruel member of the Yotei Six is portrayed by Robert Wu, whose voice is recognizable from many Family Guy characters, including Mr. Washee Washee, Peter’s competitor at the laundromat. Robert Wu also appeared in Death Stranding as The Novelist’s Son!

Tommy Kang as The Oni

Japanese Cast: Atsushi Miyauchi

The Oni is a former samurai who has fallen from grace and now faithfully serves Lord Saito, hoping to earn back some respect. He’s a large, quiet, and intimidating figure – someone you definitely wouldn’t want to provoke. This serious and powerful character is brought to life by the voice of Tommy Kang. While Tommy Kang doesn’t have a long list of acting credits, you may recognize his voice as Soda from Sausage Party: Foodtopia, which was available on Amazon Prime Video.

Matt Yang King as The Kitsune

Thanos in Squid Game (English Dub), and Liu Kang in Mortal Kombat 1

Japanese Cast: Jun Fukuyama

The Kitsune is the most reserved and silent member of the Yotei Six, constantly observing and devising increasingly cruel methods to harm opponents-all without speaking. The character doesn’t have much dialogue, instead presenting players with a challenging series of Kitsune puzzles. However, the Kitsune is voiced by Matt Yang King, who may be familiar to players as Liu Kang in Mortal Kombat 1, as well as the English dub voice of Thanos in Squid Game Season 2. He also had live-action roles as Appa and Momo in Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender, and as Marty Mantle in Riverdale.

Nelson Lee as The Spider

Takeo Masaki in Black Ops 7, Senator Xioni in Star Wars: Ahsoka

Japanese Cast: Mutsumi Sakai

The Spider is Lord Saito’s eldest son, and he dedicates everything to his father, hoping to earn his respect and secure his place at his side. His unwavering loyalty reveals that his ambition stems from a deep need for his father’s approval, and this complex character is portrayed by Nelson Lee. While Nelson Lee is known for playing Senator Xioni in Star Wars: Ahsoka, he was recently confirmed as the new voice of Takeo Masaki in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, following a stroke suffered by the original voice actor, Tom Kane, in 2020.

Krall in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

Japanese Cast: Tomokazu Seki

The Dragon is Lord Saiko’s second son, and earned his name from his fiery temper and the resentment he feels for always living in the shadow of his older brother, especially when it comes to their father’s affection. He lacks patience and respect, and his angry outbursts are voiced by David Sakurai. Though David Sakurai is well-known for his work in Scandinavian films and television, he has also appeared in some popular projects, such as playing an Earth Kingdom Spy in Avatar: The Last Airbender, and more notably, as Krall in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Jeannie Bolet as Oyuki

Echo in Overwatch 2, and Professor Bai Howin in Hogwarts Legacy

Japanese Cast: Romi Park

Oyuki performs as a shamisen player at the Red Crane Inn in the snowy lands of Ezo, but she’s keeping secrets. Players will travel with her to learn her past, and they might even find her voice familiar. Oyuki is voiced by Jeannie Bolet, who is famous for playing Echo in Overwatch 2. She has also lent her voice to Hogwarts Legacy, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, and has appeared in smaller roles on live-action shows like NCIS: Origins, 9-1-1, and Criminal Minds.

Japanese Cast: Shougo Nakamura

Players will immediately know the voice of Jubei, the Matsumae samurai who helps Atsu in the Ishikari Plain – it’s Noshir Dalal. Dalal is a veteran voice actor with a long list of video game roles.
