Fall 2025’s Best Action Anime Catalog
My Hero Academia Final Season
My Hero Academia: The Final Season is set to premiere on Crunchyroll and Hulu on October 4th. After all this time, it’s safe to say the show has already proven itself. If you’ve been watching, don’t miss the conclusion of Deku’s story.
Sanda
I recently checked out Sanda, the new anime from Science Saru based on Paru Itagaki’s work, which premiered on Prime Video on October 4th. The fact that it’s exclusive to Prime Video already means fewer people will see it, and honestly, a supernatural Santa Claus being a central figure is… unusual. It could be a good thing, though – who can say? The trailers were really promising, showcasing some inventive animation and a lot of action, so if you were a fan of Dnadadan, this might fill that void. Just be aware that romance doesn’t seem to be a major focus.
Ninja vs. Gokudo
Let’s be real, a story doesn’t always need to be complex. What about ninjas and yakuza constantly fighting each other? Or a Romeo & Juliet-like friendship blossoming between enemies? Total mayhem follows. To be honest, Ninja vs. Gokudo has the potential to be the Akiba Maid War of Fall 2025.
One-Punch Man Season 3
One-Punch Man hasn’t quite gained traction as it heads into its third season. J.C.Staff hasn’t shown much of the upcoming season, and the creators seem to be managing fans’ hopes. Many consider Season 1 to be the best in the action anime world, with animation that looked like a movie, well-developed characters, and truly funny scenes. Season 2 wasn’t as strong, and its flaws unfortunately overshadowed what was a pretty good continuation of the story. Let’s hope OPM Season 3 gets things back on track.
Star Wars: Visions Volume 3
Star Wars: Visions is a series of short stories presented as anime, all taking place within the world of Disney and George Lucas’s famous Star Wars universe. Like many anthology series, Visions isn’t perfect – not every story is a hit – but it consistently features stunning animation and explores narratives you wouldn’t typically see in the films or live-action Star Wars shows. Episodes have been created by renowned studios including Studio Trigger (Kill la Kill), David Production (JoJo), WIT Studio (Attack on Titan), and Kinema Citrus (Made in Abyss).
Fall 2025’s Best Romance Anime Catalog
A Star Brighter Than the Sun
Fall 2025 has a lot to live up to, considering Summer 2025 had so many excellent romance anime. It’s hard to imagine any upcoming show matching the quality of The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity or My Dress-Up Darling. However, A Star Brighter Than the Sun looks like a great option if you’re simply looking for a charming love story – it features a shy girl and a popular boy who slowly fall for each other. Sometimes you just want something simple and heartwarming, and this Fall 2025 anime seems like it will deliver just that.
Plus-sized Misadventures in Love!
Let’s look at something a little unique. Anime, and really most stories, tend to stick to the same body types. So, it’s a pleasant surprise when a story tries something new. Plus-sized Misadventures in Love! focuses on Yumeko, a girl learning to love herself and how that positivity impacts the people around her.
Dusk Beyond the End of the World
With only two episodes released so far, Dusk Beyond the End of the World is a captivating sci-fi romance set in a world that feels like it’s after a major disaster. Akira finds himself in a confusing new reality, but he does recognize one person: Yuugure. She strikingly resembles his former girlfriend. Filled with mystery, love, and adventure, Dusk Beyond the End of the World is shaping up to be one of the most interesting anime series of Fall 2025.
With You, Our Love Will Make It Through
Everyone enjoys a good love story, especially one that crosses species! With You, Our Love Will Make It Through tells the story of Mari, a girl who’s initially nervous about beastfolk joining her school. As she gets to know Tsunagu, she realizes there’s really no reason to be afraid, and discovers they actually have a lot in common.
This Monster Wants to Eat Me
Okay, while “romance” might not be the best way to describe This Monster Wants to Eat Me, it’s important to mention that this is a Girls Love anime. Hinako seems to be looking for trouble, and she finds it in Shiori, a mermaid with a craving to eat her. But Shiori wants to wait until Hinako is at her most appealing, so she ends up protecting her from other monsters who also want a bite. It’s a sweet and unusual romance about girls battling to the death… so one can eat the other.
Fall 2025’s Best Fantasy & Isekai Anime Catalog
To Your Eternity Season 3
To Your Eternity is unusual because many fans consider its first episode to be its best. This 20-minute episode was so well-made it could have stood alone as a short film, and the rest of the anime hasn’t quite lived up to that initial impact. However, seasons 1 and 2 are generally strong, sweeping fantasy stories that explore the difficult life of someone who can’t die. Season 3 moves the story to modern times, with Fushi now in the present day.
A Wild Last Boss Appeared!
Let’s be honest, A Wild Last Boss Appeared! is exactly what you’d expect from a powerful main character isekai anime. If you like these kinds of shows, especially when they have a bit of a dark edge, you’ll probably enjoy this one. The first episode was fairly predictable, but still entertaining, and it quickly established how ruthless the main character is – she easily defeated a whole group of monsters.
Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2
Yes! Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill is returning for another (we hope) fantastic season. This slow-paced anime follows a regular guy who uses a frying pan, and he’s assisted by two companions eager to help in exchange for delicious food. Camping Cooking is simply heartwarming and enjoyable. While season 2 might introduce more conflict, it’s honestly not needed.
The Fated Magical Princess: Who Made Me a Princess
Anime adaptations of manhwa aren’t super common yet, but they’re becoming increasingly popular. The Fated Magical Princess: Who Made Me a Princess is a fairly significant example, with both the original novel and the manhwa receiving a lot of praise. The story centers around Athanasia, who is reborn as the disliked princess of a king, and her journey to earn his affection.
May I Ask for One Final Thing?
Get ready for a satisfying revenge tale – and thankfully, it doesn’t need time travel or rebirth! Scarlet is falsely accused and labeled a villainess by her own fiancé, so she immediately takes action, punching him, and begins a scheme to completely dismantle his life. The premiere episode was excellent, promising an enjoyable story to follow.
Fall 2025’s Best Comedy Anime Catalog
Gintama – Mr. Ginpachi’s Zany Class
Gintama is returning, but with a bit of a twist compared to its usual sci-fi adventures. Instead of being a laid-back samurai struggling to get by in Edo, Ginpachi now works as a teacher at what is likely the most rambunctious school in Japan. Expect plenty of funny situations!
Spy x Family Season 3
By now, Spy x Family is a well-known and beloved anime, and the Fall 2025 season promises to be both amazing and funny. The story will probably move the spy plot forward a bit, but it will mostly center around Anya and her funny attempts to navigate her unusual family.
Ranma ½ Season 2
The beloved classic Ranma ½ returns for a second season, and it has the potential to be the most enjoyable anime of Fall 2025, assuming it’s executed well. The original manga is truly excellent, and the first season skillfully combined comedy, action, and romantic elements.
Let This Grieving Soul Retire Cour 2
Okay, this might be a bit of a stretch, but I think people who enjoy comedy will really appreciate Let This Grieving Soul Retire. The premise is fun: what if the strongest character ever is actually just pretending? That’s the situation with Krai, and he’s having a hard time getting his friends to let him retire. I found Season 1 consistently pretty funny, and I think others will too.
My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me!
My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me blends romance, humor, and everyday life, which is why we’ve included it. The anime adaptation of Blade is generating a lot of excitement this season, and its eye-catching title might be one reason why. However, the original light novel is also popular and centers on a romantic situation involving Akiteru, Iroha (his friend’s sister), and Mashiro. That’s a pretty basic explanation, though.
