Borderlands 4 Teases Details for Next Big Update

Grant Kao, a creative director on Borderlands 4, recently shared a glimpse of the changes the team is working on for the next major update. Gearbox is consistently improving Borderlands 4 with significant updates that address bugs, enhance gameplay, and introduce fresh content.

Since its release, Gearbox has focused on fixing critical bugs and technical issues instead of making big changes to how the game plays. They recently released a major update for *Borderlands 4* that improved weaker abilities for each character, rather than nerfing the most powerful ones – a change players appreciated. However, Gearbox may shift this approach with the next major update.

Borderlands 4 Teases Next Update Details

Grant Kao, an associate creative director, recently shared an update on the next big patch for *Borderlands 4* on social media. While he didn’t give a release date, Kao mentioned he’s been collaborating with Graeme Timmins to improve the game. A key focus will be fixing how some passive abilities work, which are currently causing repetitive issues. The patch will also aim to make certain Legendary pistols more useful and improve the performance of assault rifles.

All character classes in the game have passive skills, but some are more powerful than others, particularly those with ongoing effects or abilities that repeatedly impact enemies. A popular strategy with the Vex character, known as ‘Crit Knife,’ uses her special skill to deal huge damage by continuously stacking bleed effects. Although the developer didn’t mention this build specifically, players likely will see adjustments to it when the next big update releases.

I was so bummed to hear about the Bloodletter nerf in *Borderlands 4*! Apparently, Gearbox accidentally changed how the Vex build worked, so it wasn’t applying status effects like it should. Luckily, they just released an update that *might* fix it. From what I’ve read, the key to getting that awesome, boss-melting effect back is using a Throwing Knife with a Penetrator Augment. Fingers crossed it works!
