The highly anticipated Pokemon Legends: Z-A is almost here, launching this Thursday, October 16th. Fans who enjoyed the previous Legends game and the concept of Mega Evolutions are especially excited, as this game seems to combine both. The game has generated a lot of buzz, particularly after leaks revealed 26 new Mega Evolutions would be included. Remarkably, even before release, dataminers have discovered information about 16 *more* Mega Evolutions planned for a future DLC. All of the currently known Mega Evolution models have also been leaked, and they are as follows:
- Mega Clefable (Fairy/Flying)
- Mega Starmie (Water/Psychic)
- Mega Meganium (Grass/Fairy)
- Mega Feraligatr (Water/Dragon)
- Mega Skarmory (Steel/Flying)
- Mega Froslass (Ice/Ghost)
- Mega Emboar (Fire/Fighting)
- Mega Excadrill (Ground/Steel)
- Mega Scolipede (Bug/Poison)
- Mega Scrafty (Dark/Fighting)
- Mega Eelektross (Electric)
- Mega Chandelure (Fire/Ghost)
- Mega Pyroar (Fire/Normal)
- Mega Barbaracle (Rock/Fighting)
- Mega Dragalge (Poison/Dragon)
- Mega Floette (Fairy)
- Mega Zygarde (Dragon/Ground)
- Mega Drampa (Normal/Dragon)
- Mega Falinks (Fighting)
The Mega Evolutions of Victreebel, Dragonite, Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja, Malamar, and Hawlucha won’t appear in *Pokemon Legends: Z-A* because they were already shown to the public before the game came out.

Just three days before its launch, players have discovered the 16 new Mega Evolutions that will be included in the *Pokemon Legends: Z-A* Mega Dimension DLC. This includes the previously announced Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y. While these details come from recent leaks and could potentially change, they are likely accurate.
Every Pokemon Legends: Z-A DLC Mega Evolution Confirmed So Far

Recent leaks for *Pokemon Legends: Z-A* revealed Mega Heatran and Mega Darkrai, along with Mega Zeraora, which was thought to be cut from the game. It’s unknown whether these three Mega Evolutions will be released through downloadable content or future events. It’s important to note that these Pokémon weren’t included on the official DLC list because their Mega Stones were already confirmed as items within the game. Here’s the current confirmed list of Mega Evolutions coming with the DLC:
- Raichu X
- Raichu Y
- Chimecho
- Absol
- Staraptor
- Garchomp
- Lucario
- Golurk
- Meowstic
- Crabominable
- Golisopod
- Magearna
- Scovillain
- Glimmora
- Tatsugiri
- Baxcalibur
A recent report on Twitter from CentroLeaks suggests some surprising updates are coming to the world of Mega Evolution. It claims that Lucario, Garchomp, and Absol will receive new Mega Evolutions, with Lucario and Garchomp being particularly popular choices from the original Mega Pokémon. With *Pokémon Legends: Z-A* already showing different versions of Mega Raichu (X and Y), it’s likely the new DLC will introduce updated Mega forms for Pokémon that already have them – especially those that fans love.
All Possible New Mega Evolutions for Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s DLC

There’s a slight catch with these 16 new Mega evolutions. The person who first shared this information, HeroOfTimeLink, has clarified that some of the available slots are already being used by others. Here’s which ones:
- Staraptor, but could be Roserade
- Lucario, but could be Hippowdon
- Golurk, but could be Stunfisk
- Golisopod, but could be Palossand
- Alongside Magerna and Zeraora, Marshadow and Melmetal could also get new Megas
- The original list included a new Mega for either Zamazenta or Eternatus, with HeroOfTimeLink believing neither is happening due to these Pokemon not being in the Pokedex
- Scovillain, Glimmora, Tatsugiri, and Baxcalibur could be red herrings, as they do not have corresponding Pokedex data in the game
Notably, a Flygon Mega Evolution is seemingly out of the picture for the DLC.
8 Out of 16 New Pokemon Legends: Z-A DLC Mega Evolutions Are Already Clear
Considering the limited information and excluding possibilities that won’t have Mega Evolutions or are still in competition, only 8 of the original 16 Mega Evolutions are currently confirmed. While Mega Heatran, Mega Darkrai, and Mega Zeraora are highly likely to appear due to the discovery of their Mega Stones, they might not be included in the downloadable content. Based on the available data, these are the Mega Evolutions confirmed so far:
- Raichu X
- Raichu Y
- Chimecho
- Absol
- Garchomp
- Meowstic
- Crabominable
- Magearna
Okay, so it’s looking more and more like Absol and Garchomp are getting new Mega Evolutions, which got me thinking – Lucario *really* deserves a second one too, more than Hippowdon, honestly. But it’s not just those two! Staraptor and Roserade seem pretty likely contenders, and so do Golurk and Stunfisk, or even Golisopod and Palossand. Still, all this narrows down the possibilities for what we’ll see in the Mega Dimension DLC for *Pokemon Legends: Z-A*, which is awesome!
