In the world of ARC Raiders, Earth’s future isn’t bright – it’s become a barren landscape. However, the people of Speranza still depend on valuable resources that remain on the surface.
You’ll often find locked doors while exploring, and opening them usually rewards you with valuable items.
On the Dam Battlegrounds map, a locked door is hidden high inside the control tower. Getting to it can be difficult, and you’ll likely encounter enemy ARCs trying to ambush you on the route.
I’m Gorgon, a Raider, and I’ll guide you through unlocking this door. You’ll need the Dam Control Tower Key, which you get as a random item drop.
Locating The Control Tower
The control tower in the Dam map is a huge building in the research and administration section. It’s so tall, you can spot it from a long distance away.
There are several ways to get into the control tower, but I’ll explain the fastest and simplest one, starting from the building’s northeast side.
The control tower is located near the center of the map, as you can see in the image. Gorgon has found an open pipe that provides access to the room where you’ll use the key. The arrows in the image show exactly where we’ll be entering through the pipe.
When you get to the northeast side of the control tower, find the pipe opening at its base, as shown in the image.
Go through the pipe, and when you reach the next room, use the zipline shown in the image.
Once you’ve climbed to the top, you’ll find yourself right next to the control tower. Enter the building through the door shown in the picture.
This door opens to a zipline that takes you to a platform partway up the structure. From there, you’ll switch to a final zipline, as shown in the image. Just be careful—there are turrets along the way!
When you reach the top, you’ll find the door pictured. Open it and turn right, but be cautious! Gorgon almost lost his legs when two automated repair constructs exploded nearby.
The door that requires the control tower key will be located on your right (seen below).
Go inside and claim your loot.

Once you enter the room, you’ll find the turret just around the corner to your left, mounted high on the wall.
Thoroughly search all containers and surfaces in the room, including the tabletops. Gorgon discovered valuable gun parts there—the most profitable items you’ll find, as shown in the image below.
To protect your best items, always store them in your inventory’s safe pocket. This way, you won’t lose them even if your character dies.
