One Piece: 9 Strongest Haki Users In The Rocks Era

This article contains spoilers for the One Piece series.

In the world of One Piece, Haki is a power everyone possesses, but very few actually develop. It’s a spiritual energy with many uses. The two most common types are Observation Haki, which is like a sixth sense, and Armament Haki, which allows users to strengthen their defenses with spiritual energy.

Conqueror’s Haki is a rare ability that lets a person dominate and frighten their opponents. Mastering Haki is essential to becoming one of the strongest characters in the One Piece world. While many powerful fighters today have incredible Haki, the previous era, known as the Rocks era, likely had even more fearsome Haki users. Legends like Rocks and Roger possessed exceptionally strong Haki, easily surpassing most of their enemies.

Scopper Gaban

The Left Arm of the Pirate King

Gaban is a powerful member of the Roger Pirates, considered one of their top three strongest fighters. He doesn’t have a Devil Fruit ability, instead relying entirely on his Haki. While we haven’t seen much of Gaban’s Haki in action from the time of the Rocks Pirates, he was just as strong as Rayleigh. He effortlessly defeated Ganzui, who had previously beaten Captain John, and his Conqueror’s Haki was powerful enough to overcome even the Holy Knights.

Rayleigh

The Right Arm of the Pirate King

Rayleigh was a remarkably powerful member of the Roger Pirates. He later became known as the Pirate King’s most trusted advisor and demonstrated his incredible abilities at God Valley, even though he wasn’t at the height of his powers at the time.

Rayleigh managed to rescue Shakky, but it took a lot of effort to defeat Saint Sommers in the process.

Charlotte Linlin

The Future Captain of the Big Mom Pirates

I remember seeing Big Mom back in the days of the Rocks Pirates, and even then, she was a force to be reckoned with. She wasn’t quite at her strongest, but she was still unbelievably powerful, easily one of the best pirates on God Valley. What really stood out was that she’d already fully awakened her Devil Fruit powers, and on top of that, her Haki skills were seriously impressive.

During the battle with Imu, Big Mom demonstrated her Conqueror’s Haki by using her powerful technique, Ikoku, enhanced with Supreme King Haki.

Whitebeard

The Second Strongest Of Rocks Pirates

During the age of the Rocks Pirates, Whitebeard was a prominent member of the crew, second only to the captain, Rocks, in terms of strength and influence.

Even in his younger years, Whitebeard possessed the powerful Gura Gura No Mi Devil Fruit, and his Haki was exceptionally strong. He demonstrated amazing attacks by skillfully combining his Devil Fruit powers with his Haki, like the devastating Space Breaker technique. He even briefly stopped Rocks’ Domi Reversi with a quake attack enhanced by Conqueror’s Haki.

King Harald

The Strongest of Elbaf

Fans have only recently begun to learn about King Harald of Elbaf through the ongoing flashback storyline. While many details about him remain a mystery, it’s clear that he possesses incredible strength. In fact, Harald is powerful enough to rival Rocks, and their battle was a clash of equally potent Haki. The force of their Haki clash was so immense that it knocked unconscious everyone within a 5-kilometer radius.

Monkey D. Garp

The Future Hero of the Marines

After the battles at God Valley, Garp eventually became a legendary hero in the Marines. He’s famous for his incredibly strong Haki, which he demonstrated while fighting against the Rocks Pirates.

Garp and Roger were fierce rivals, but they teamed up in God Valley to defeat a powerful, enhanced Rocks pirate. This fight demonstrated Garp’s incredible skill with Conqueror’s Haki.

Gol D. Roger

The Captain of the Roger Pirates

Even though Roger wasn’t at his strongest during the God Valley incident, he remained incredibly powerful. As many fans are aware, Roger didn’t eat a Devil Fruit, meaning his immense strength came entirely from his exceptional Haki.

Roger possessed incredibly strong Haki, even in his younger years. This was evident in his battles with Whitebeard and his participation in the attack on Imu using Divine Departure. He also defeated Domi Reversi’d Rocks in combat.

Rocks D. Xebec

The Captain of the Rocks Pirates

Rocks D. Xebec is considered one of the most impactful characters Eiichiro Oda has created for One Piece. He immediately resonated with fans during the God Valley flashback. As captain of the Rocks Pirates, he commanded a fearsome crew that included powerful figures like Whitebeard and Big Mom.

Leading his crew demanded immense strength, and without a Devil Fruit ability, Rocks relied on his incredibly potent Haki. This Haki was strong enough to effortlessly defeat an Admiral and Garling. He even used it to attack Imu and overpower Whitebeard, even after Whitebeard used his Domi Reversi technique.

Imu

The Secret Sovereign of the World

When discussing the most powerful figures in the world of One Piece, Imu, the hidden ruler, is impossible to ignore. Though they generally operate in secret, Imu sometimes takes direct action, as seen during the events at God Valley. Their arrival at God Valley was a shock to everyone present, and they quickly demonstrated incredible Haki. Because Imu was able to defeat all the powerful beings gathered there, it’s clear their Haki is unmatched.
