With Patch 11.2.7, World of Warcraft players who finish the “Elves of Quel’Thalas” Lorewalking questline will receive a new item for their in-game housing: the Tome of Silvermoon Intrigue. Unlike past Lorewalking quests that awarded toys, this one lets you decorate your home.
Lorewalking is a new feature in World of Warcraft, introduced in Patch 11.1.7, that lets players experience guided stories and quests as they level up. It’s a way to discover both well-known and fresh lore within the game. Currently, there are three Lorewalking stories available – Xal’atath, Ethereals, and The Lich King – with a fourth, The Elves of Quel’Thalas, planned for release in Patch 11.2.7, The Warning.
World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7 Lorewalking Quest and Reward
Similar to past stories, completing the ‘Elves of Quel’Thalas’ Lorewalking questline will reward players with a special item. However, this time the reward is different: instead of a toy, you’ll receive the ‘Tome of Silvermoon Intrigue,’ a housing decoration. This attractive red and gold book is ideal for Blood Elves, Mages, or anyone who loves to decorate with books. Once unlocked, players can buy additional copies from Lali the Assistant in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms for 2000 gold each.
The rewards from past Lorewalking quests in World of Warcraft are already quite good. Completing Xal’atath’s story unlocks the Echo of Xal’atath, a blade that allows all classes to hear her voice from the Legion expansion, even without a specific visual customization. The Ethereals and Lich King storylines offer the K’aresh Memory Crystal and Royal Visage, letting you temporarily appear as an Ethereal or the Lich King Arthas. But this latest reward seems special because it connects to the game’s new Housing system and highlights the culture featured in the story.
This latest Lorewalking story wasn’t a surprise. When the feature launched, players found hints in Lorewalker Cho’s dialogue that this World of Warcraft questline was being worked on and would eventually be released.
The update arriving in Patch 11.2.7 is perfectly timed. It includes the early access release of Player Housing and comes right before the launch of the elf-focused Midnight expansion. Once the update is live, World of Warcraft players can learn more about the history of Quel’Thalas and start collecting decorations for their new homes all at the same time.
