Nikita Buyanov, the head of Battlestate Games, recently said his team is focusing heavily on dealing with cheaters when Escape from Tarkov 1.0 launches later this month. Fans are particularly concerned about cheaters ruining the launch of the game, which has been in development for ten years.
Despite facing years of negativity, a large team has been tirelessly developing new strategies to fight cheaters in the game.
Cheaters Be Damned in Escape from Tarkov
So, I was reading an interview with Nikita Buyanov, the head of Battlestate Games, and he hinted they’ve got some new stuff planned for when Escape from Tarkov fully launches. Apparently, they’re finally tackling the cheaters – you know, the guys who’ve been ruining the game for ages. It sounds like they’ve been working on some solutions behind the scenes, and we should see them when the game officially drops.
This is a major reason why many players have shifted towards Player versus Environment (PvE) gameplay in the past year and a half. It allows them to play without the worry of encountering cheaters or dealing with other players.
Buyanov explained how the studio has remained stalwart despite years of criticism:
It’s really disheartening to see the negativity and criticism over the years, especially when it feels like our efforts are being ignored.
We have a large team constantly working to ban players who violate our rules and to improve our methods. However, it’s difficult to change how players feel, which can be disheartening. Frankly, the constant negativity can be discouraging and frustrating, but we’ve learned to cope with it. It’s a continuous effort, and we remain committed to it despite the challenges.
The developers of Escape from Tarkov recently announced the rewards players will receive when the game officially launches on November 15th. These rewards include a special pack featuring unique outfits, dog tags, hideout decorations, and other exclusive items.
On November 15th, Escape from Tarkov will become available on Steam for the first time, expanding access beyond the game’s own dedicated launcher.
With Escape from Tarkov’s 1.0 update coming soon, do you think the game will finally address cheaters effectively? Share your thoughts on the TopMob Discord server!
