Microsoft Store Leaks Silent Hill 2 Xbox Release Date

Fans of Silent Hill 2 can now mark their calendars! A recent update on the Microsoft Store revealed the game’s official release date for Xbox Series X|S.

Thanks to a discovery by True Achievements, we now know that Silent Hill 2 is scheduled to release on Xbox on Friday, November 21, 2025, even though the official listing has since been taken down.

Fans have long anticipated an Xbox release of the game, and those expectations increased when the ESRB rated it for Xbox on October 31st, signaling a launch was coming soon.

The game is designed to run well on both the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles, and will be available on both Xbox and PC through the Microsoft Store. Currently, it hasn’t been confirmed if you’ll be able to play it on both consoles and PC with a single purchase.

Silent Hill 2 was initially released on PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam on October 8, 2024. It was a PlayStation 5 exclusive for one year, and that agreement ended last month. Currently, the game has a Metacritic score of 86 based on 105 critic reviews, with players giving it an even higher score of 9.1 from nearly 4,000 ratings.

Besides Xbox, people are also speculating that the game might come to the next Nintendo Switch. It’s uncertain if it will launch on the same day as the Xbox version, but players who don’t have a PC or PlayStation 5 should be able to experience the remake from Bloober Team soon.

However, it’s important to remember that Konami and Bloober Team haven’t made any official announcements so far.
