Thanks to a discovery by TrueAchievements, a potential release date for the Silent Hill 2 remake has surfaced: November 21st, for Xbox Series X|S consoles. The game briefly appeared on the Microsoft Store with this date, though it wasn’t clear if it would be playable on both Xbox and PC. Fans hoping for the inclusion of the Born from a Wish DLC from the original game were disappointed to find no mention of it in the listing. The store page has since been taken down.
While many gaming rumors prove accurate, leaks from official online stores are usually more trustworthy. Recent reports also suggest the game will be released on Xbox, following a rating for the game on the ESRB specifically for Xbox in late October 2025. Now that the store listing has been taken down, we can likely expect an official announcement from Microsoft, Konami, or Bloober Team soon.
It’s still unknown if Silent Hill 2 will be released on the Nintendo Switch 2. The new system has gotten positive feedback from developers – Resident Evil Requiem is even launching on Switch 2 at the same time as on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Currently, there’s been no indication that Silent Hill 2 has been rated for the Switch 2, suggesting it might come out after the Xbox version. The fact that Silent Hill f launched on all other current consoles but not Nintendo’s could mean the Switch 2 version requires extra development work to run smoothly.
