10 Jujutsu Kaisen Characters With Special Grade Potential

In the action-packed world of Jujutsu Kaisen, sorcerers are categorized by rank. The lowest rank is Grade 4, representing the weakest sorcerers. Above that are the general ranks of Grade 3, Grade 2, and Grade 1, with some sorcerers falling into ‘semi’ grades in between. The most powerful sorcerers are classified as Special Grade, a category with very few members. Currently, the only confirmed Special Grade sorcerers are Gojo, Yuki, Geto, and Yuta, though some newer characters show potential to reach this level.

Hiromi Higuruma

A Sorcerer with Gojo Level Potential

Higuruma played a crucial role in the fight against Sukuna in Shinjuku, and the author highlighted his incredible intelligence by comparing him to Gojo Satoru. The story suggested Higuruma’s abilities were on par with Gojo’s, which is a significant statement considering Gojo was far stronger than most sorcerers. This implies Higuruma likely became a Special Grade Sorcerer at some point after that battle.

Fumuhiko Takaba

The User of Comedian

Takaba possesses an incredibly powerful cursed technique – many believe it could be as strong as, or even surpass, Gojo’s Limitless. Called ‘Comedian,’ this technique allows him to turn anything he finds amusing into reality. While Takaba didn’t fully control it earlier in the series, if he masters ‘Comedian,’ he would undoubtedly become a Special Grade Sorcerer.

Yuka Okkotsu

Yuta’s Successor

Yuka Okkotsu comes from a powerful lineage, being the granddaughter of renowned jujutsu sorcerers, Yuta and Maki. Although new to the world of jujutsu, she shows great promise. As Yuta’s successor, it’s expected she’ll eventually reach his level of skill, potentially by the end of the Modulo arc.

She will eventually obtain Rika’s ring and fully unlock its powerful, cursed technique. Yuka is certain to become a Special Grade Sorcerer, following in her grandfather’s footsteps, and she might even become stronger than he was.

Tsurugi Okkotsu

Maki’s Successor

I’m so excited about Tsurugi, one of the new main characters in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo! He’s actually the grandson of Yuta and Maki, and everyone’s saying he has incredible potential. It’s really interesting because, just like his grandma Maki, he was born with very little cursed energy. It’s going to be awesome to see how he overcomes that!

Tsurugi is much stronger and more physically capable than most people. He also practices a fighting style called the New Shadow Style. To reach his true power, he needs to eliminate all of his cursed energy, which would allow him to fight on par with skilled individuals like Maki and Toji.

Yuji Itadori

The Former Vessel of Sukuna

Yuji is the main character in Jujutsu Kaisen. For much of the story, he wasn’t particularly powerful compared to others. But during his fight with Sukuna, he significantly leveled up, mastering two new abilities – Blood Manipulation and Shrine – and unlocking his Domain Expansion. He even managed to turn Sukuna’s own attacks against him. Yuji likely became even stronger after that fight, and fans are eagerly awaiting his return in the upcoming JJK Modulo to see just how much he’s grown.

Maki Zenin

A Sorcerer With No Cursed Energy

Maki stood out as a remarkably powerful character in the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen. Unlike most sorcerers, her physical strength was exceptional because of a unique condition called a Heavenly Restriction, which limited her cursed energy.

Maki’s abilities reached a peak in Jujutsu Kaisen after losing her cursed energy, a result of Mai’s sacrifice. Following the fight with Sukuna, she became as strong as Toji, and likely even more powerful, proving herself a formidable fighter during the battle.

Megumi Fushiguro

A User Of The Ten Shadow Technique

Megumi was one of the central characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. He had incredible potential, and was born with a rare and powerful cursed technique from the Zenin Clan known as the Ten Shadow Technique.

Sukuna was able to defeat Gojo using the incredibly powerful Ten Shadow Technique. If Megumi masters Mahoraga or learns to combine his summoned spirits, he’s certain to become a Special Grade Sorcerer.

Cross

Maru’s Brother

I’m really excited about Cross! He’s Maru’s brother, one of the Rumelians, and we haven’t even seen what he’s truly capable of yet. Given how powerful Maru is – easily at a Grade 1 level, and potentially Special Grade when he’s at his peak – I’m guessing Cross is going to be pretty strong too, probably with a cursed technique that’s just as impressive. I definitely get the feeling Gege Akutami has some huge things planned for him!

Maru

An Overpowered Rumelian

Maru, like the other characters in JJK Modulo, is a newly introduced character to the series. He’s quickly established himself as one of the strongest newcomers. Recently, during the fight with Takeda, Maru demonstrated his impressive cursed technique, which lets him manipulate the natural order of things.

Furthermore, Maru defeated Masaki Takeda, a Sorcerer of Grade 1. This suggests Maru may already be powerful enough to be considered a Special Grade.

Dabura

The Strongest Deskunte

Dabura, the most powerful Simurian, is already established as a Special Grade or higher-level threat. While the full extent of his abilities is still a mystery, he’s officially considered as dangerous as Ryomen Sukuna. He’s proven himself to be one of the strongest fighters, and we haven’t even seen his full power yet.
