Three new games, including Pigeon Simulator, are now available on Xbox Game Pass. Pigeon Simulator is unique because it launched on the service on day one and was almost cancelled before its release – making it the only November 11th addition with that history.
The journey to release for Pigeon Simulator was quite a rollercoaster. Bossa Studios, the creators of I Am Bread and Surgeon Simulator, first announced the game in mid-2019. Two years later, tinyBuild, an indie publisher, took over the project and assigned it to their internal studio, HakJak Studios in Idaho. Unfortunately, HakJak Studios was closed in December 2023 during a company restructuring, leaving the future of Pigeon Simulator unclear. A representative from HakJak stated the game’s fate was now entirely in tinyBuild’s hands. Finally, in early November 2025, Microsoft announced Pigeon Simulator would be available on Xbox Game Pass, confirming the game was still in development and on track for release.
Pigeon Simulator and 2 More Titles Join Xbox Game Pass
On November 11th, three new games came to Xbox Game Pass: Pigeon Simulator, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, and Great God Grove. None of these games were previously available on the service, although Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris was once offered as a free ‘Games with Gold’ title back in May and June of 2017. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is the only one of the three that can be played on older Xbox consoles. While Pigeon Simulator and Great God Grove aren’t available on older consoles directly, you can play them on Xbox One through Xbox Cloud Gaming.
When Will Pigeon Simulator Come to Xbox Game Pass Premium?
Microsoft promised that all games released on the highest Xbox Game Pass tier (Ultimate) would also be available on the new Premium tier within one year, after a restructuring in October 2025. Considering how they handled the previous, similar Game Pass Standard tier, this means we can expect the game Pigeon Simulator to be added to the Premium tier sometime between May and November of 2026.

Four new games are heading to Xbox Game Pass before the end of November 2025. Three of them – Winter Burrow, Relic Hunters Legend, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 – will be available in the first wave of releases this month. The fourth game, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, was pushed back from October and will now arrive on November 19th. Microsoft is also expected to reveal the second wave of November 2025 Game Pass titles around that same date.
