Final Fantasy 14 Releases New Update For November 2025

On November 11th, a new update, Patch 7.38, was released for Final Fantasy 14 on all platforms. This update fixed a few bugs and made it easier to get loot from the Arcadion AAC Cruiserweight Tier (Savage) raids. Players can also now decorate their in-game homes with a new poster inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles.

The latest update for Final Fantasy 14, version 7.38, comes at a difficult time for the game. Since November 3rd, North American servers have been hit by DDoS attacks, causing players on the Aether, Primal, Crystal, and Dynamis data centers to unexpectedly lose connection. While these disconnections haven’t lasted long, players have reported losing progress in activities like the Pilgrim’s Traverse deep dungeon due to how often the attacks occur. Thankfully, servers in Europe, Japan, and Oceania haven’t been affected.

Even with recent cyberattacks targeting its data centers in North America, Final Fantasy 14 has launched a new update for players. Update 7.38 removes the weekly loot restrictions for the challenging AAC Cruiserweight Tier (Savage) raid, letting teams farm gear and items as much as they want. Players can now also skip fights within this raid tier, allowing them to go straight to the final boss, Howling Blade. Finally, those upgrading Historia weapons have a new option: players can now trade one Ordelle Coin and one Montiont Coin for an Evercharged Ester.

I’m really excited about the latest update! Now, even if you don’t do the super hardcore Savage raids, you can still get the Evercharged Ester by completing the Echoes of Vana’diel alliance raids. Plus, they’ve added a new housing item โ€“ a poster from Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles! It drops in the Return to Ivalice alliance raids, and it’s awesome to see some love for that game, especially since it was made by the talented team in Creative Studio 3.

The November 11 update fixed several issues with features like Pilgrim’s Traverse and Cosmic Exploration. This will be the only update for Final Fantasy 14 in November, as the development team is now focused on releasing Patch 7.4, “Into the Mist,” on December 16.
