Recent discoveries within the code of Pokemon GO indicate a new event is coming next month, likely based on the latest Pokemon video games. The mobile game has kept players engaged with regular updates, including new Pokemon and Mega Evolutions. Currently, Pokemon GO is hosting the “GO Wild Area: Global” event, letting players focus on either Dark or Fairy-type Pokemon. It appears the game may soon introduce content inspired by one of the most recent regions from the main Pokemon series.
Pokemon GO has been adding Pokemon from the latest games, including several from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Niantic started introducing creatures from the Paldea region (inspired by Spain) in late 2023, beginning with the starter Pokemon. Pokemon GO May Be Adding a New Paldea Event
Recent discoveries within the code of Pokémon GO suggest a new event focused on the Paldea region will arrive in December. Data miners found details for an event called “Journey to Paldea,” including a preview image. This event will likely introduce Nacli and its evolutions, Naclstack and Garganacl, to the game, and also increase the number of Bagon and Larvitar appearing in the wild. The event is currently scheduled to run from December 2nd to December 9th.
Recent leaks suggest that Pokemon GO is planning an event based on the Paldea region from the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games. Dataminers have found evidence of many new Pokemon from Generation 9 being added, including powerful Paradox Pokemon and exclusive creatures like Ogerpon and Pecharunt. A recent event also introduced a new Gigantamax form – Gigantamax Grimmsnarl – to the game.
Players of Pokemon GO have a lot to anticipate for the rest of 2025! Niantic has announced the last Community Day of the year, which will feature more of the Community Day Pokemon appearing in the game. Plus, Pokemon GO has significantly improved item storage, adding more item slots with the level cap increase and offering free inventory space.
