Boruto: Ikemoto Confirms Momoshiki’s Return Is Closer Than You Think

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex isn’t holding back when it comes to pushing its characters to their limits, particularly Boruto Uzumaki. As the Seventh Hokage’s son, Boruto has faced numerous incredibly dangerous situations, and villains – especially the persistent Momoshiki Otsutsuki – continue to target him.

Currently, Jura and the God Trees pose the greatest danger, but the presence of Momoshiki Otsutsuki inside Boruto is still a major concern. We last saw Momoshiki after the mission in the Land of the Wind, when Boruto surprisingly asked for his help to defeat Jura. Although Momoshiki is inactive at the moment, the new arc of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is building towards his eventual return.

The current arc of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is noticeably missing some key characters, most notably Momoshiki Otsutsuki. This powerful villain, who once posed a significant threat, has been largely inactive. Unlike his earlier appearances in the manga, this Momoshiki seems uninterested in what’s happening to Boruto and the village of Konoha.

Momoshiki is strangely focused on Boruto Uzumaki potentially dying, even though it wouldn’t actually help him. Since Momoshiki’s life is now linked to Boruto – Naruto’s son – Boruto’s death would mean his own end, something he doesn’t want. This is likely why Momoshiki is staying quiet, particularly now that Boruto has gotten much better at controlling him.

Momoshiki Otsutsuki is still an important character, so it’s likely he’ll reappear in the story. With Boruto now battling the incredibly powerful Jura, Momoshiki’s return could drastically change things. Defeating a god-like being like Jura might require a god-like power, and Momoshiki could be the only one strong enough to stand a chance.

Fans were stunned when Boruto Uzumaki made a surprising offer to Momoshiki Otsutsuki: a temporary partnership to defeat Jura and the God Trees. This unexpected deal caught many off guard, as the thought of Boruto willingly giving up control to anyone, especially Jura, is completely new and shocking.

The manga hasn’t shown us how Momoshiki reacted to Boruto’s proposal, but it strongly suggests he’d already accepted it. This happened even before Boruto spoke with Kashin Koji and Inojin about the incredibly powerful jutsu Mamushi uses. Boruto also assured Kashin Koji that Momoshiki isn’t a threat right now, explaining that their temporary partnership is stable and Momoshiki will only intervene if absolutely needed.

The recent, unexpected team-up between characters has sparked a lot of debate among fans. A preview of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 28 is out, revealing Boruto running quickly, likely towards Konoha. The last chapter showed Mamushi using a special technique to enter Konoha and target Eida, but Kashin Koji has strongly advised Boruto to stay out of the next fight.

Knowing Boruto, he’s not one to listen to warnings, so he’ll probably rush into danger despite Jura’s threats – just like he did during the mission in the Land of the Wind. If Boruto acts, Jura will too, and a fight between them could bring Momoshiki back into the picture.
