Resident Evil Requiem is Expected to Sell Better than RE Village

Capcom predicts that Resident Evil Requiem will sell more copies than Resident Evil Village did.

Recent interviews with the developers have revealed new information about Resident Evil Requiem. They shared that the game began development long before Resident Evil Village, and explained why they decided to remove the multiplayer feature. A recent question-and-answer session during Capcom’s earnings report also covered their sales predictions for the new game.

Resident Evil Requiem’s Announcement Led to Increased Sales of Previous Titles

Capcom recently discussed their hopes for Resident Evil Requiem, noting it received positive feedback at gaming events. They aim for Requiem to sell even better than Resident Evil Village. Interestingly, the announcement of Requiem also boosted sales of older Resident Evil games, exceeding Capcom’s predictions.

During the call, the developers were asked if Requeim might have the same technical problems as Monster Hunter Wilds. They explained that the two games are built very differently – in terms of how they play, their underlying technology, and their online features. Because of these differences, they don’t expect similar issues with Requeim and are working to ensure it runs well on many different PCs.

Hey everyone, just heard some updates on Resident Evil! The producer of Requiem finally talked about what’s going on with Leon Kennedy, which is awesome. Plus, they announced when RE Survival Unit is coming out! I’m really curious – do you guys think Resident Evil Requiem will sell even more copies than Village did?
