Oda Is Set To Introduce A New Power In One Piece, And It’s Stronger Than Haki

The anime and manga One Piece is now focusing on the Elbaf arc, and the creator, Oda, is really emphasizing the different power systems within the series. Regarding Devil Fruits, Oda has made it clear that two specific types will be essential for defeating Imu and overthrowing the World Government. He’s also been highlighting the importance of Conqueror’s Haki, particularly its potential to harm those who seem immortal.

While Devil Fruits and Haki are incredibly powerful in the world of One Piece, they aren’t the strongest abilities. The true power actually comes from science, specifically the technology of the Ancient Weapons. Eiichiro Oda is hinting that we’ll soon see the full extent of this power revealed with the Ancient Weapon Uranus.

Oda Is Set To Reveal The Final Ancient Weapon Soon

In the world of One Piece, the Ancient Weapons are unbelievably powerful tools created during a forgotten era known as the Void Century. The Ancient Kingdom, a civilization with advanced technology, built these weapons. Fans first learned about Pluton in the Arabasta arc – it’s described as a massive battleship with the power to destroy an entire island with a single attack.

Vegapunk, speaking from Egghead, wondered about Joy Boy’s reasons for leaving the Ancient Weapons behind, and admitted they couldn’t judge who was in the right or wrong.

Following the time jump in the story, Oda introduced Poseidon, a being with the power to command Sea Kings and potentially flood the entire world. The final Ancient Weapon is Uranus, which is exceptionally powerful and unique in that it operates from the sky. Fueled by Motherflame – a mysterious energy source originating from the Void Century and recently recreated by Dr. Vegapunk – Uranus possesses the capability to instantly destroy entire nations.

Oda hasn’t revealed the Ancient Weapon Uranus completely yet, but it’s likely we’ll see it soon. With One Piece now in its final saga, and the World Government having Vegapunk’s support, it’s clear that both the Motherflame and Uranus are now operational.

Ancient Weapon Uranus Has Already Been Teased

One Piece fans have already witnessed the devastating potential of the Ancient Weapon Uranus – the same weapon Imu used to destroy the Kingdom of Lulusia. However, that was just a small demonstration of its power. It’s been revealed that Vegapunk only sent a limited amount of the Motherflame to the World Government to initially activate Uranus. Now, Vegapunk is capable of producing a massive quantity of Motherflame for Imu, suggesting the weapon’s full destructive force will soon be unleashed. While Oda hasn’t fully shown us everything Uranus can do, we can expect a complete reveal following the events on Elbaf.

Honestly, seeing the Five Elders speak to Imu like that during the Reverie arc really stuck with me. It felt so dramatic! They were basically asking, ‘What important thing are you going to eliminate now?’ It’s a chilling question, and it really highlights how much power Imu holds, and how casually they seem to wield it. It’s a moment that made me realize just how dangerous the world of One Piece truly is.

Science Is The Strongest Power In One Piece

The Ancient Weapons are incredibly powerful – it’s difficult to imagine anything else, like Haki or Devil Fruits, being comparable. While those abilities are strong, they don’t match the sheer destructive potential of Ancient Weapons. Weapons like Uranus and Pluton could obliterate islands and even entire countries, possessing enough force to potentially destroy the world.

It’s becoming clear that controlling the Ancient Weapons is the most powerful ability in One Piece. This means science—which has become increasingly important in the story’s final arc—will play an even larger role, and those who master it will likely be the strongest characters. We can expect to see the full extent of their power revealed soon.

This highlights how important characters like Shirahoshi and Momonosuke are, since they control Pluton, one of the ancient weapons. Imu is also a key player, almost certainly possessing Uranus. And, of course, Luffy is central to everything as the new Joy Boy. Since the previous Joy Boy passed down these powerful weapons, it’s clear Luffy will be involved with them too. One Piece is heading towards an incredibly exciting and dangerous turning point.
