Nick Herman, co-founder of AdHoc Studio, recently shared the story behind their game, Dispatch, and how the studio itself was created in an interview with Jason Schreier at Bloomberg. He described a unique set of circumstances that led to the studio’s beginning.
In 2017, Herman joined Ubisoft along with his AdHoc cofounders, Pierre Shorette and Dennis Lenart, and relocated to the company’s San Francisco office. They immediately began working on the new Splinter Cell game.

The nominations for The Game Awards 2025 are in! Hosted by Geoff Keighley, the show has been celebrating the best games of the year and previewing what’s next for the gaming industry for over ten years. 2025 was a fantastic year for new releases, so the competition was especially close. Now we know which games impressed critics and the judging panel the most.
A panel of judges from different media sources determined the winners in most categories, though fans also had a chance to vote for their favorites online. The ‘Player’s Voice’ award is the only category decided entirely by fan votes, and nominations will be revealed soon.
