How To Go To Albion & Make Trade Routes In Anno 117 Pax Romana

In Anno 117: Pax Romana, players build settlements on various islands to acquire the resources they lack. They then need to transport these specialized goods between islands to meet the demands of each location.

Trading in the game can be done by hand, but setting up automatic trade routes makes it much easier, especially when governors need to bring goods in from other regions. Here’s a guide on how to establish these trade routes in Anno 117: Pax Romana.

How To Go To Albion In Anno 117 Pax Romana

Here’s how to go to Albion in Anno 117: Pax Romana:

  • In the campaign: Progress through the quest until Calidus takes Lucius’s place as the emperor. Players will be exiled to Albion.
  • In the endless sandbox: Unlock the Eques, the tier 3 Latium residence in Anno 117: Pax Romana.

Once you’ve unlocked Albion in sandbox mode, you can travel to different regions by tapping the globe icon on the circular menu at the bottom left of your screen. Select Albion from the list to enter the new area.

Players can use the world view to check the distance between provinces, which is helpful for tracking ships after establishing trade routes, like those between Latium and Albion.

How To Trade Between Albion & Latium In Anno 117 Pax Romana

Trading between Albion and Latium in Anno 117: Pax Romana works similarly, but you’ll need to switch between the Albion and Latium maps to select which islands to trade with.

First, press New Trade Routes at the bottom of the screen.

Next, choose the first island you want to trade from.

Then, choose the second island. You can also choose more than two islands if needed.

Next, select the ship you’ll use for this trade. Civilian ships usually offer more space for cargo, while military ships can protect themselves if they encounter trouble during the journey.

Once you pick the islands, choose which goods you want to load (take) from the city.

Then, choose where you want to unload (store) the goods.

Once everything is set, press Establish Route to save it.

If you happen to move one of your trading boats, its trade route will temporarily stop. You can get it moving again by tapping the ship icon on the trade route screen, or by pressing the play button directly below the ship’s icon (when you’re not looking at the trade route details).

Trade Routes In Anno 117 Pax Romana

Trade routes aren’t just for transporting items between your cities; you can also use them to buy and sell goods. As an example, Manx’s Harbour consistently purchases Reed Shoes for 21 Gold.

Setting up trade routes is one of the things you can do to make money in Anno 117: Pax Romana.

Normally, I can sell this for 14 Gold, but honestly, it’s way better to hold out and sell to a city that’s actually asking for it. You get a much better price that way!

You can do these trades manually, but it’s better to set up a trade route for them.

You can also create a passive trade by setting up automatic sales for items when you have enough of them. For example, you can tell the Trading Post to start selling Timber automatically once you collect more than 75 pieces.

Soon, a ship from a different city will arrive to collect them. Trading by simply accepting offers – known as passive trade – is the simplest way to start.

You can have a specialist (captain) on your boat in Anno 117: Pax Romana to reduce trade costs.

If you plan to trade items yourself, it’s important to find out which cities are buying what. For instance, Procurator’s Harbour buys everything, so it’s a great place to sell your goods.
