Fans of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can now get a free Whimsicott, a Grass/Fairy-type Pokemon, thanks to a new distribution code. Throughout their release, the ninth-generation Pokemon games have regularly offered free items and Pokemon to celebrate events and new releases. These gifts are delivered through the game’s Mystery Gift function, and this time, players can add a special Pokemon from the fifth generation to their team.
The Pokemon Company often gives away special Pokemon to fans after major championships, usually ones used by top players. These Pokemon come with the same moves, Tera Types, and stats as the originals. They’ve even celebrated the Pokemon Horizons anime by giving away starter Pokemon used by the show’s characters. Now, a new tournament has led to a special giveaway: a Whimsicott.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Giving Out Special Whimsicott
To celebrate the Latin America International Championships for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, The Pokémon Company is giving away a special Whimsicott. Fans can redeem the code LA1C26TA1LW1ND to receive the same Whimsicott used by North America International Champion Federico Camporesi. This Whimsicott is Water-type Tera, holds a Covert Cloak, and has the Prankster ability with a Careful nature. It also knows the same moves as Camporesi’s Pokémon: Moonblast, Tailwind, Light Screen, and Encore.

Okay, so there’s a new event in Scarlet and Violet and it’s pretty cool! They’re giving away a Whimsicott, which could be a great addition to my competitive team. It comes in a Cherish Ball – you can only get those with event Pokemon, so it’s kinda special. Plus, this Whimsicott has a Battle Champion ribbon, which usually goes to players who win big Pokemon tournaments. I need to grab it before November 30th though, or I’ll miss out!
Even though Pokemon Legends Z-A is currently the focus for many Pokemon fans, The Pokemon Company is still updating and supporting the ninth generation games, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. New seven-star raids, like the Water Tera-type Goodra raid available until the end of November, are being added. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will also receive free performance upgrades on the upcoming Switch 2 console, keeping the games relevant as players explore Legends: Z-A.
