Battlefield 6 is Starting to Roll Out Compensation for EA App Outage

Players of Battlefield 6 are beginning to receive the compensation they were promised for the issues with the EA app when the game first launched. While it’s taken a while, players are glad to finally be getting it.

When Battlefield 6 launched, many players using the EA app ran into a problem: the app incorrectly told them they didn’t own the game. This was especially annoying for those eager to play on launch day, and it even prompted Battlefield 6‘s head, Vince Zampella, to suggest players use Steam instead. Although the issue was quickly fixed, EA promptly offered affected players compensation, including bonus XP and a seasonal Battle Pass.

Some Battlefield 6 Players Notice EA App Outage Compensation Has Landed

After a little over a month since it was announced, players are starting to receive the in-game compensation for issues with Battlefield 6 through the EA app. If you were expecting compensation and haven’t gotten it yet, be sure to check your in-game inbox when you next start the game. While it’s rolling out, not everyone has received theirs yet, so it’s worth checking again in the next few days.

Players who’ve received compensation are reporting they’ve only gotten the XP boosts so far. The promised seasonal Battle Passes for Battlefield 6 haven’t been delivered yet, and some players have expressed their disappointment to EA. Hopefully, once the XP boosts are fully distributed, the Battle Passes will follow quickly.

Despite a rocky start, Battlefield 6 became the year’s best-selling game. After a four-year hiatus following the disappointing Battlefield 2042, there was a lot of excitement for the series’ return, and the game has continued to improve since its release. Even though some players have criticisms, Battlefield 6 seems to have revitalized the franchise and put it in a very strong position.
