Where Winds Meet offers a lot to do, including quests and challenging boss battles. What makes it really special is how everything connects – as you play, you’re constantly improving your character’s abilities.
Some optional quests are tricky to find, and you might need to finish other quests first. “Her Legacy” is a special quest that unlocks after the main story’s beginning, and it wraps up Ruby’s story. We’ll guide you through every step of this quest, including finding all the locations hinted at in the treasure map.
How To Start Her Legacy
You can get Her Legacy after you finish the main story quest, “For Whom Does He Return,” which is the last quest in Chapter 1: Heaven Has No Pier. Once it’s done, return to Heaven’s Pier, and Her Legacy will appear there. Just follow the quest marker to begin.
Her Legacy Lost Chapter Walkthrough
Start by looking through the shelves in Parting Tears to find a treasure map. This map will lead you to a small pond located roughly halfway between Kilnfire Ridge and Heaven’s Pier.
Go to the area and talk to the Old Angler. He’ll ask you to compete in a fishing contest. If you win, he’ll give you a second clue – another treasure map. This map will lead you to a location near a storeroom in the General’s Shrine.
Go to the area and smash the jars located outside the storeroom – this will show you where the third treasure map is hidden. Don’t forget to talk to the villager who is sweeping nearby before you go!
The next clue on the treasure map sends you to Kilnfire Ridge. Find the Kilnfire Ridge Boundary Stone, and then head south until you see a Woodcutter chopping wood. Talk to him, and then jump onto a rooftop to find the next clue.
Okay, so clue number four is another treasure map, but this one was a little harder to track down. I finally figured out it’s located just south of that North Bamboo Grove Boundary Stone. Once you get there, you need to find the hunter and talk to him. He’ll challenge you to an archery contest! I’d recommend using the Still Waters skill – it really helped me out – and if you win, he’ll give you the clue. It’s a pretty straightforward challenge, honestly.
Go to the Bamboo Abode, but be careful – wolves are guarding it! After dealing with them, search the back of the house, close to the steps, to find the last clue. Open your bag and read Ruby’s letter to receive the Red Thread accessory. Finally, go inside the Bamboo Abode and meditate.
In the dream, speak to Ruby. After she departs and you wake up, the quest will be complete.
