Vermintide 2:All Tomes and Grims in Return to the Reik

In the Return to the Reik mission for Warhammer: Vermintide 2, players explore the Reik River area to find a sword that once belonged to Markus Kruber’s father. While the map is mostly straightforward, locating all the Tomes and Grimoires can be challenging due to their hidden locations. This Vermintide 2 guide will show you where to find each Tome and Grimoire on this map, saving you time and effort.

Return to the Reik Tome #1

You’ll find the first Tome early in the mission. Head along the shoreline, sticking to the left side, until you reach a waterfall. Look for a sign pointing to a troll cave and follow it. Inside the cave, you’ll see a pile of bones and bodies – the supplies and the first Tome are on top of it.

You’ll encounter a Bile Troll, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to defeat if your team includes a character specializing in boss battles, such as a Bounty Hunter or Grail Knight.

Return to the Reik Tome #2

Keep following the main path of the mission until you get to a large cave that’s blocked. Place a barrel near the entrance while fighting off the Skaven, then head into the open area shown in the picture. The second mission book is hidden inside a chest located in a small opening along the side of the path. Go around the cave, and when you reach the marked spot, turn around and jump onto the narrow path to find the chest.

Return to the Reik Tome #3 and Grimoire #1

You’ll find the last part of the Tome and the first Grimoire in the old, run-down house by the river in the woods. After you’ve explored the cave, head through the Rotblood camp to get to the house. You can break down the boarded-up entrance with your weapons, but first, check the river shore for a tunnel sealed with chains. There’s a key inside that you’ll need to use later.

Okay, so I grabbed the key, and now I need to head back to the house. There’s a hidden hatch in the floor somewhere, and the key unlocks it. Once it’s open, I climb down the stairs, and boom – the first Grimoire is right there on an altar. Easy peasy!

After you get the Grimoire, head upstairs to the second floor. The last Tome is hidden under one of the beds.

Return to the Reik Grimoire #2

You’ll find the last Grimoire on a Skaven ship. To get there, you need to board the Shadowship docked near the old house, and then battle your way through enemy ships until you can finally board a Skaven vessel.

If a Skaven attempts to board your ship, immediately board theirs. After that, turn to the right and search for the Grimoire – it’s wedged onto the roof close to the chimney.
