This post contains spoilers for Solo Leveling.
Solo Leveling is currently the world’s most popular manhwa. While the original web novel had a dedicated following, the anime adaptation really launched it into the mainstream. The anime’s exceptional quality significantly increased its popularity, and soon everyone was talking about Solo Leveling.
Although Solo Leveling is the most popular manhwa out there, it’s not without flaws. Many other Korean web novels actually offer a higher quality reading experience.
Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint Has Beaten Solo Leveling
The Manhwa Is Adored By Masses
- Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is adored by readers
- It has a higher score than Solo Leveling
On MyAnimeList, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint has a slightly higher rating (8.65) than Solo Leveling (8.61), suggesting fans generally enjoy it a bit more. While Solo Leveling has received more overall ratings – likely due to its anime adaptation – it’s clear viewers are very engaged with both series.
The popular webnovel Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is being adapted into an anime, though a release date hasn’t been announced yet. A trailer released on Crunchyroll’s YouTube channel months ago has already gained a lot of attention. When the anime comes out, it’s likely Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint will become as well-known as Solo Leveling.
Details about the upcoming anime for Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint have been scarce. Crunchyroll hasn’t announced much, but that might change soon, particularly with the delay in news about Solo Leveling’s third season. A smart move for Crunchyroll would be to release Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint to fill the gap left by Solo Leveling. The most important thing is choosing the right animation studio.
The recent season of One Punch Man showed how important it is to choose the right animation studio. While J.C. Staff tried their best, the results weren’t ideal. This means Crunchyroll needs to be very careful when deciding who will animate future shows. There’s a chance A-1 Pictures, a top-tier studio, will be chosen to produce the Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint anime.
Solo Leveling Season 3 Is Not Releasing Anytime Soon
The third season of Solo Leveling is a hot topic among anime fans. After the second season ended, many expected an announcement about its renewal, but Crunchyroll remained silent. This has led to a lot of speculation, and some believe production on the third season may already be underway.
Currently, there’s no solid proof that A-1 Pictures is making another season of Solo Leveling. Initial reports indicated the director is occupied with other work, leading to a pause on the anime. This is understandable – rushing production just to satisfy fans would be a mistake. A-1 Pictures should take a year or two to ensure Season 3 of Solo Leveling is high quality and doesn’t feel rushed.
One reason we haven’t heard about a third season yet could be that A-1 Pictures is considering options other than a typical anime season. The huge success of the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie might be making them rethink things. Solo Leveling is just as popular online, so the studio might prefer to release a movie covering multiple story arcs instead. Even if a third season does eventually happen, they might release a movie first.
