This article contains spoilers from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
Fans of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex are especially thrilled when they see powerful new ninja techniques – or jutsus – being used, particularly by well-loved characters like Naruto, Sasuke, and Boruto. These impressive moves immediately grab viewers’ attention, sparking a desire to understand how they work and how strong they are.
So far, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has shown us some incredibly powerful jutsu, each dangerous in its own way. Some of these attacks can instantly defeat an opponent, while others are more insidious, exploiting vulnerabilities that are just as lethal. Here’s a look at the most powerful new jutsu introduced in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
Mind Body Transmission Formation
Inojin’s Upgraded Mind Body Transmission Technique
In recent chapters of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Inojin Yamanaka has become increasingly vital in protecting Himawari Uzumaki from threats like Jura and the Shinju clones. Driven by the need to save Himawari’s life, he’s been training hard, focusing on both his artistic ninja skills and his mental abilities. Even though he doesn’t fully trust Boruto and Kashin Koji, he’s working with them to quickly improve his own strength.
With training from Kashin Koji, Inojin created a more advanced version of the Mind Body Transmission Technique, called Mind Body Transmission Formation. This new technique can locate the hidden chakra of the Shinju, particularly Mamushi. It also allows those connected to the formation to sense nearby enemies by detecting their unique vibrations, and this connection is undetectable by other sensing methods, making it a safe way to share information privately with a select group.
Like the first version of the Mind Body Transmission Technique, this improved version also has drawbacks. It’s tough on Inojin’s chakra, and he can only control a limited number of targets at the same time.
Flying Thunder God Technique
Boruto’s Version of Flying Raijin
Boruto doesn’t know the actual Flying Thunder God technique, so he couldn’t learn it just by watching or trying. But he can create a similar effect by using his unique teleportation powers, which come from his Otsutsuki lineage.
Boruto’s version of the Flying Raijin is different from the original. Instead of relying on traditional methods, it uses his special Otsutsuki teleportation powers and requires metal objects marked with chakra. He can use things like kunai, pins, or even swords – Sasuke’s, for example – as teleportation points. To make it easier, each marker should have a distinct shape. Ultimately, Boruto’s Flying Raijin is more restricted than the original technique.
Division
Shinju Mamushi’s Unique Replication Ability
Shinju Mamushi has many skills, but his ability called Division is particularly dangerous. It lets him create multiple copies of himself without weakening any of them. Unlike typical clone techniques, each copy is as strong and capable as the original, possessing all of Mamushi’s power and fighting ability. This makes dealing with him incredibly difficult, even for skilled ninjas like Boruto, as the number of threats multiplies rapidly.
If you can’t effectively deal with Mamushi’s ability to create copies, you’ll be at a major disadvantage. He can make endless, perfect duplicates, turning a fight into a battle of sheer numbers. However, if you can find and exploit his weaknesses, those many copies will actually become a problem for him, as they aren’t very smart.
Prescience or Ten Directions
Kashin Koji’s Shinjutsu
Kashin Koji possesses a unique and incredibly rare ability called Prescience, also known as Ten Directions. This allows him to see potential futures, giving him a significant advantage in battle by letting him predict his opponents’ moves. Surprisingly, he uses this power to help Boruto improve his abilities, offering guidance on training and battle tactics, even considering their complicated past.
Kashin Koji’s ability to foresee events has been incredibly helpful, particularly when planning against the Shinju Clones. Without his insights, Boruto would have a very difficult time controlling Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki and the Karma mark, and also surviving battles against powerful enemies like Kawaki and Code.
Kashin Koji, similar to Amado, is extremely private and careful about the information he reveals, sharing only what he needs to achieve his current aims. This secrecy, combined with his ability to foresee the future, makes him incredibly unpredictable and a significant threat.
Uchiha Style Blade Technique: Hagoromo
Boruto’s High-Level Sword Technique
Boruto, trained by Sasuke Uchiha, has mastered all of his teacher’s skills, including expert sword fighting and using chakra to amplify his attacks. He’s repeatedly demonstrated one particular technique – the Uchiha Style Blade Technique: Hagoromo – in battles against Jura and the Shinju Clones.
The Uchiha Style Blade Technique: Hagoromo lets Boruto empower Sasuke’s Sword of Kusanagi with his chakra. This makes the sword more durable, sharper, and better at cutting. It also keeps the blade from getting dull or damaged, even during long fights, so it stays at its best.
Taking care of the Hagoromo is challenging for Boruto, as it requires a lot of his concentration. Fortunately, Sumire recently improved Boruto’s sword using technology, which now makes it much easier to maintain the Hagoromo without so much effort.
Mangekyo Sharingan Ohirume
Sarada’s First Mangekyo Sharingan Ability
In Boruto, Sarada’s newly awakened Mangekyo Sharingan, specifically its Ohirume ability, has already defeated its first opponent: the Shinju Ryu. The victory happened surprisingly quickly, showcasing Sarada’s remarkable control over the technique, as if she were a seasoned user despite it being her first time employing it.
Ohirume is incredibly strong and threatening. When Sarada created black spheres from seemingly nowhere, Ryu was instantly overwhelmed by their powerful gravity, unable to even move. In a flash, Ryu disappeared completely, leaving behind only a fragment of the Shinju’s soul. This is currently Sarada’s most powerful and lethal technique.
Everyone expected a tough fight from Ryu, but Sarada’s powerful Mangekyo Sharingan, Ohirume, quickly proved those expectations wrong. Using this ability takes a huge toll on Sarada’s body, and right now she can only use it once per battle without becoming completely exhausted. With training, she should be able to use it more often in the future.
Rasengan Uzuhiko
Boruto’s Deadliest Rasengan
Boruto’s Rasengan Uzuhiko is different from typical Rasengans. It doesn’t deliver a single, powerful blast; instead, it causes ongoing damage, slowly weakening opponents it directly hits.
Boruto’s Uzuhiko attack on Code was incredibly powerful, leaving Code struggling to stay conscious and upright until Boruto stopped the technique. If Boruto hadn’t cancelled the attack, Code would have been severely harmed, potentially to the point of losing his life force.
Uzuhiko is a more powerful version of the Rasengan, enhanced by a spinning force. When it hits, the swirling chakra keeps damaging the opponent’s energy until they’re defeated. Boruto hasn’t fully mastered Uzuhiko yet, but like Sarada’s technique, it’s expected to get better with practice. Still, anyone familiar with Rasengan, like Jura, could defend against it unless Boruto finds a way to modify or strengthen the attack.
