The rapid building of data centers for artificial intelligence, and the overall infrastructure needed to support this growing field, has severely disrupted the hardware market in recent months, and these challenges are expected to continue.
According to a recent report from South Korean news source Newsis, GPU prices are expected to increase dramatically, and we’ve only seen the first signs of these significant price jumps.
According to reports, the price of the RTX 5090 graphics card could increase significantly, potentially jumping from around $1,999 at its release this year to as high as $5,000 by late 2026. AMD’s RX 9000 series is also expected to become more expensive, though not as dramatically.
