One Piece: Oda Officially Reveals A New Yonko Level Weapon

The popular series One Piece is nearing its end, and the creator, Oda, is gradually introducing the most powerful characters. He’s been skillfully revealing these incredibly strong fighters, who he’s been developing for years. Many of the strongest characters in One Piece possess amazing weapons, and the current Elbaf arc has already showcased several of these impressive armaments to fans.

Loki’s Ragnir, a powerful warhammer revealed in the Elbaf arc, is likely the most formidable weapon we’ve seen in One Piece so far. It’s incredibly strong, with seemingly no limits to its power, and will almost certainly be a key weapon as the story progresses, potentially becoming one of the strongest ever shown in the series.

As a longtime follower of One Piece, I’ve noticed that when people talk about the strongest weapons, they usually focus on swords. It seems like most of the fighters who use weapons in the series are swordsmen, and Oda, the creator, puts a lot of thought into the details of these powerful blades. We know there are different grades of swords in the One Piece world, and the twelve Supreme Grade swords are the most legendary. Anyone wielding a Supreme Grade sword is clearly a force to be reckoned with. What’s really interesting is that these swords aren’t just powerful in attack—they’re incredibly durable and can even hold a lot of Haki themselves.

Besides the 21 Great Great Blades and the 50 Grade Blades, the world of One Piece includes other weapons like guns and projectiles. However, the graded blades receive the most attention.

Despite expectations, Oda surprised fans in the Elbaf arc of One Piece by introducing Ragnir, a truly awesome and original weapon. As a warhammer, Ragnir fits perfectly into the story, especially since the Elbaf arc draws heavily from Norse mythology.

Loki’s Ragnir Is A New Yonko Level Weapon

Fans first saw Ragnir during the Elbaf arc, shortly after Loki’s introduction. Although Ragnir was visible on Loki’s back when he was initially revealed, it wasn’t formally introduced until Loki had broken free from some of his restraints. This is when Oda revealed Ragnir, and Loki specifically claimed to be the only one who could wield it, implying the weapon had chosen him.

Fourteen years ago, a fierce battle took place at Aurust Castle between King Harald and Loki. These scars are a reminder of that fight. While Loki was a powerful opponent, King Harald was a renowned and skilled warrior himself. Sadly, the devastation was unavoidable. Fans recently witnessed Loki use the weapon Ragnir to hit the Adam Tree, which caused a lightning strike and started a fire in Elbaf. This suggests Ragnir can create lightning, though it’s still unconfirmed. What is clear is that Ragnir is an exceptionally powerful weapon.

One Piece chapter 1170 showcased the incredible power of Ragnir. The chapter focused on Loki’s mission to consume the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf before Harald lost control. To do so, Loki had to defeat Ragnir, who was surprisingly revealed to be a squirrel! Ragnir had eaten a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit, granting it the ability to transform into a squirrel at will. The battle between Ragnir and Loki was fast-paced and truly impressive, demonstrating Ragnir’s complete control over its powers.

Fans were shocked to see Ragnir fight Loki to a standstill, and even gain the upper hand. Surprisingly, even when Loki strengthened his attacks with Conqueror’s Haki, they didn’t seem to faze Ragnir at all.

Ragnir Could Fight Evenly With Loki

Ragnir Loki is incredibly strong – a true powerhouse. Even when fighting Loki, who was at his peak with advanced abilities and the power of the Ancient Giants (far stronger than any Marine Admiral and nearing the level of the most powerful pirates), Ragnir not only survived but forced Loki to retreat and even broke his hammer. Ragnir’s power is simply extraordinary.

Ragnir Broke Loki’s Conqueror’s Haki Infused Hammer

So far, Ragnir’s most impressive display of strength was breaking Loki’s weapon during a direct confrontation. Even though Loki used his full power and coated his weapon with Conqueror’s Haki, Ragnir shattered it – a truly remarkable feat. Ragnir did sustain some injuries, indicated by its spiral eyes, but it clearly wasn’t defeated.

This weapon is incredibly powerful – strong enough to go toe-to-toe with the strongest pirates in the world, the Yonko. While it likely couldn’t defeat a Yonko, it’s durable enough to survive their attacks and powerful enough to seriously injure them.

Ancient Weapons Are Stronger Than Ragnir

In the world of One Piece, the Ancient Weapons are the most powerful weapons, surpassing even Ragnir. Created by a civilization from the distant past – the Ancient Kingdom, during a time known as the Void Century – these weapons possess the potential for global destruction. Currently, three Ancient Weapons have been identified: Pluton, Poseidon, and Uranus.

  • With Pluton, one can erase an island with a single blast. It is a warship built on Water 7 by the famous shipwrights that existed back then, and recent context attached to Elbaf seems to suggest that the Galleila Band, a group of fearsome Elbaf giants, were responsible for its construction.
  • Poseidon lives in Fishman Island and she can control the Sea Kings and sink the entire world.
  • Finally, there is Uranus, which can erase just about any piece of land anywhere in the blink of an eye. Currently, it seems to be in Imu’s possession.
