Lionsgate Confirms AAA John Wick and SAW Games In Development

John Wick fans have long hoped for a high-quality video game based on the action-packed movies. The films’ exciting style seems perfectly suited for gaming, but so far, no truly great game adaptation has appeared, despite a few attempts with limited resources.

Lionsgate’s Adam Fogelson recently revealed that a high-budget ‘John Wick’ video game is currently being made and will be unveiled in the near future. He also announced that a new ‘SAW’ game is in the works, marking the first installment since 2010’s ‘SAW II: Flesh and Blood’.

John Wick Game Could Be Coming Soon

Lionsgate recently revealed during an earnings call that they will soon announce both a new John Wick game and a new project in the SAW franchise. According to Lionsgate Chairman Adam Fogelson, who shared the news during the call:

We’re developing major games based on popular franchises like John Wick and Saw, and have other exciting gaming projects we’ll reveal in the near future.

Lionsgate has noticed that fans are becoming more interested in seeing adaptations of its popular franchises, including the John Wick series.

It’s still unknown what a John Wick AAA game would actually be like. Fans are excitedly discussing different ideas, including continuing John Wick’s story with Keanu Reeves, or creating a brand new story where players can build and play as their own custom assassin.

Honestly, it’s probably the second option, because that would give the developers a lot more freedom to be creative with the story and the world it takes place in.

After seeing the success of the John Wick game, fans began speculating about other Lionsgate properties that could be turned into video games. Many suggested ‘The Hunger Games’ would be perfect as either a battle royale game or a large-scale, story-driven adventure set in a ruined future.
