Say Hello To One Piece’s Newest Devil Fruit Even Stronger Than Sun God Nika

This article contains spoilers for the Final Saga of One Piece.

As a huge One Piece fan, I’m absolutely blown away by the Final Saga! It’s amazing to see Eiichiro Oda really diving deep into the world’s history and lore that he’s built over all these years. We’re finally starting to learn about the Gods of the One Piece universe, and honestly, the incredible powers they possess feel like something Oda has been saving for this final stretch of the story. It’s so exciting!

During the Wano Country Arc, it was finally revealed that Luffy’s true Devil Fruit was the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, unlocking his Sun God Nika powers. These powers have been a highlight of the Final Saga, and fans have loved seeing them in action. However, the author, Oda, has now introduced Loki, a new character whose abilities appear to be even stronger than Luffy’s Sun God form. Loki’s powerful Devil Fruit abilities were recently showcased, suggesting he will be a major force in the story.

The Sun God Nika Fruit Is Truly Overpowered In One Piece

  • Nika Is The God of Liberation And Destruction
  • Luffy Is The Breaker Of Chains In One Piece

The Sun God Nika, also known as the Warrior of Liberation, is an incredibly powerful god who has been worshipped for centuries in the world of One Piece. Legend says Nika brings laughter and joy, and appears to free slaves during their darkest moments. He’s a symbol of freedom, standing against all forms of oppression, and is believed to appear when those suffering most call for help. However, Nika’s arrival is always accompanied by great destruction, which is why some see him as a destroyer, while others view him as a savior and protector.

During the Wano Country arc of One Piece, Luffy unlocked the incredible power of the Sun God Nika while fighting Kaido. After a near-fatal blow, he awakened this ability, which ultimately allowed him to defeat Kaido. Kaido was astonished by Luffy’s complete freedom in battle. Luffy pushed his abilities to their absolute limit – stretching, shrinking, and maximizing both Armament and Conqueror’s Haki – resulting in a surprisingly easy victory over Kaido.

It’s clear that Luffy, now possessing the power of the Sun God, is exceptionally strong. He would easily defeat even a powerful Admiral like Kizaru in a fight, and his abilities will likely continue to increase as the story progresses. As one of the Four Emperors, Luffy is currently among the most powerful characters in the One Piece world.

While he’s not the most powerful character, it’s clear that others surpass him. We know Imu and Shanks are stronger than Luffy, and now, in the Final Saga, Loki has emerged as even more powerful. His abilities seem to exceed even those of Sun God Nika.

Loki’s Legendary Devil Fruit Is The Strongest Zoan Type Fruit

  • Unknown Mythical Zoan Fruit
  • Powers Greater Than Rocks And Harald

In One Piece chapter 1170, fans learned about Loki’s Devil Fruit ability. While the full power wasn’t shown, it’s now evident that Loki, like Luffy, is a user of a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit. Initially, many believed Luffy’s fruit was a Paramecia, but the Wano Arc confirmed he’s actually a Mythical Zoan user as well.

In Chapter 1170, Loki demonstrated incredible power when he transformed into an Elbaf creature and easily defeated Harald in battle. To appreciate just how strong Loki had become, it’s important to remember how powerful Harald was 14 years prior to this fight.

The Five Elders are describing King Harald as overwhelmingly powerful, even terrifying. They believe he’s now immortal and possesses a strength that goes beyond simply being a monster – he’s become a force of destruction, a living weapon. (From One Piece Chapter 1168)

Harald was introduced as an incredibly powerful character. The author, Oda, established that he and Rocks D. Xebec were equals, and this was demonstrated through numerous battles. Even their initial fight showcased their matching strength, with the sheer force of their Haki wiping out all life within a 5-kilometer area.

Harald and Rocks were incredibly powerful characters at this point in the story. Later, Harald grew even stronger, eventually becoming as powerful as Domi Reversi Rocks after receiving a mark from Imu. Remarkably, this same Harald – who surpassed even the average member of the Rocks D. Xebec crew – was defeated by Loki in chapter 1170 of One Piece. This defeat clearly demonstrates that his Devil Fruit abilities were extraordinarily potent.

I am the Sun God, a legendary figure in this land. Mortal, you must not address me without my consent. I am the strongest being in these Lands. This is Warland, the Kingdom of Violence, part of Elbaf. It was once the most powerful nation on Earth, built on the art of war. And I, Loki, am the Sun God destined to bring about the world’s end! — Loki’s introduction in the Elbaf Arc.

Even with his incredible Sun God Nika abilities, Luffy wouldn’t have stood a chance against Harald at that time. That difference in power is really clear. Currently, Loki is demonstrably stronger than Luffy, judging by what we’ve seen them both do.

Loki’s Devil Fruit Is Either A Dragon Or Fenrir

Although we don’t know the specifics of Loki’s Devil Fruit power, it’s confirmed to be a Mythical Zoan type. Many fans believe it will be related to Norse mythology, with Fenrir or Nidhogg Dragon being the most popular theories.

The brief glimpse of a shadowy figure in chapter 1170 suggests Fenrir as a possible identity, especially considering its furry look and claws. Giving Loki the power of Fenrir would explain how he’s currently stronger than the Sun God Nika – it would be an incredibly powerful ability for him to possess.

I think it would be amazing if Loki ended up with Nidhogg’s power. Considering how long fans have speculated about a Western Dragon appearing in One Piece, it would be a fantastic way for Oda to finally bring one into the story.

Right now, Loki is more powerful than Luffy. It’s clear Luffy still has some growing to do before he can reach Loki’s level, and it’ll likely take him a while to get there.
