StarRupture quickly introduces several key gameplay elements, starting with its corporation system. Soon after arriving on Arcadia-7, you’ll begin using Orbital Cargo Launchers and completing corporate delivery missions. These missions are central to developing your base, character, and production capabilities as you progress.
In StarRupture, you can choose from five different corporations. Each one offers unique missions, rewards, and level limits. Picking the right corporation to focus on early in the game can save you a lot of time and effort. This guide explains which corporations are best to upgrade first, why they’re important, and how to level them up effectively without getting overwhelmed.
How to Level Up Corporations in StarRupture

After completing the tutorial, you’ll gain access to five different corporations through the Corporate Terminal in your base. In StarRupture, there are two primary methods for increasing your corporation’s level.
You can upgrade things by spending Data Points, which you get from the Analyzing Station. This is a good option when you first start playing, as early upgrades don’t cost much. But as upgrades become more expensive, it’s usually better to save your Data Points to unlock new recipes instead.
Another option is to export materials, which is simpler but slower. You can construct an Orbital Cargo Launcher to see what each company needs, then create production lines to send them those materials into orbit.
Best Corporation to Upgrade First in StarRupture
At the beginning of the game, you’ll find that the tutorial unlocks structures which provide most of the materials you need. This lets you quickly develop certain corporations without having to focus on gathering resources.
It’s generally best to upgrade all your corporations to level two early on. These initial upgrades are inexpensive and give you all the basic features you need. After that, focus on upgrading the factions that will help you progress the fastest.
Okay, so first thing’s first, you need to get the Moon Energy Corporation leveled up to three. Trust me on this one. Yeah, that Recipe Station we just unlocked isn’t super helpful right now, but leveling up the Corporation gets you a Map, and that Map is a game-changer. Seriously, it makes exploring Arcadia-7 so much easier. You can actually plan where you’re going, find the stuff you need, and not just wander around lost. It’s totally worth it.
After that, prioritize upgrades with the Selenian Corporation, beginning with level two. This unlocks the Fabricator, which is essential for fulfilling many early and mid-game delivery orders. Having the Fabricator makes establishing consistent production much easier. Continuing to invest in Selenian will also give you access to key resource-gathering buildings like the Helium-3 and Sulfur Extractors, making it one of the game’s most valuable corporations.
After that, you should prioritize upgrading Griffits Blue Corporation to level two. This will give you your first real weapon for defeating enemies. Continuing to upgrade Griffits Blue also unlocks buildings that help in combat, like the Equipment Upgrade Station.
Next, you should upgrade Clever Robotics to level two, which unlocks Personal Storage. This gives you a specific spot in your base to keep extra items in StarRupture. It’s a simple upgrade, but it really helps keep things organized and reduces clutter.
You can set up your production lines to work with all five corporations at the same time. But if you want to get important upgrades quickly, it’s better to focus on Selenian and Griffits Blue.
