It’s Time To Welcome Back Sasuke’s Strongest Transformation in Boruto

This article contains spoilers for the Boruto series.

Sasuke Uchiha is a central figure in the Naruto series, consistently playing a key role alongside Naruto Uzumaki. Creator Masashi Kishimoto has stated that Sasuke is equally important to the story as Naruto. The two characters grow and develop at a similar pace, which explains why they often unlock new abilities around the same time, captivating fans.

In the Boruto series, both Naruto and Sasuke have been sidelined, but it seems likely they’ll become more important again when they return. When they do, both characters will probably need new abilities. Many fans are hoping Sasuke will regain his most powerful transformation: his curse mark. It’s been a while since we’ve seen this ability, but if Sasuke faces enemies like the Shinju upon his return, he’ll need a power source like natural energy, and the curse mark could provide that.

Most Naruto fans agree that Naruto and Sasuke haven’t been portrayed well in the Boruto series, and that they need to become more powerful. While they started Boruto as incredibly strong characters, the author repeatedly weakened them. In many ways, Naruto and Sasuke were diminished. Naruto lost the power of Kurama and was subsequently sealed away, and Sasuke’s Rinnegan was damaged, leaving him sidelined for a long time.

Fans were upset when Sasuke and Naruto were essentially removed from the main storyline, and many feel this treatment wasn’t fair. While the recent Two Blue Vortex arc has been a slight improvement, people are hoping the author will give these characters the respect and power they deserve when they eventually return, especially considering the strong enemies appearing in the Boruto series. Specifically, Sasuke has lost the power of his Rinnegan, a crucial ability, and fans believe he needs a new source of strength to replace it.

The Boruto manga recently revealed Sasuke will be getting a new scientific ninja sword, which will definitely improve his fighting skills. However, that alone might not be enough for him to compete with the strongest opponents in the series. Sasuke doesn’t have many options to become more powerful. He could get a prosthetic hand to use more ninja tools, or somehow regain a Rinnegan in his other eye – but that would make losing his first one pointless. The most logical solution is for Sasuke to tap into a power he’s used before, and that’s why many fans believe the Curse Mark will return.

Sasuke’s Curse Mark Would Help Him Against Shinju

  • A Power That Relies on Senjutsu
  • A Massive Buff For Sasuke Uchiha

Some fans are puzzled by Sasuke getting the curse mark again, but it actually fits the story well. The current main villains are the Shinju, and the strongest one, Jura, is essentially a new form of the Ten Tails. It’s likely Sasuke will return to the fight after Hidari is defeated, and before Jura is, meaning he could be a valuable ally when they face Jura.

I realized Sasuke needed a real advantage to beat Jura, and it seemed like Senjutsu might be the answer.

Sasuke, we’re family. I’ll always be a part of your life, even if it means being someone you have to fight against. Even if you end up resenting me, I’ll still be here, because that’s what older brothers do. — Itachi Uchiha to Sasuke

During the Fourth Great Ninja War, it became clear that the best way to harm someone possessed by the Ten-Tails was by using Senjutsu, the Sage Arts. That’s why Boruto’s Uzuhiko technique could be very effective against Jura, and other Senjutsu-based abilities would also work well against him. For Sasuke, this suggests a path for developing a power similar to the curse mark. The curse mark, originally from Jugo’s unique genetic ability, allows a person to absorb natural energy and significantly increase their strength. However, instead of receiving the mark from Orochimaru, Sasuke could develop this ability through a different method.

Honestly, I’m so excited about how Sasuke could transform! It seems like he’d become this incredibly powerful, almost feral version of himself, which would be perfect for taking on Jura and really hitting him hard. It’s not just about him getting stronger, though – it’s a way to show him regaining lost power in a fresh, unexpected way. It avoids the usual power-up tropes, and that’s exactly what I’m hoping for!

Sasuke Desperately Needs A Rinnegan Replacement

It’s become clear that Sasuke urgently needs a significant power boost, specifically a replacement for his Rinnegan. His current abilities aren’t strong enough to handle the major villains appearing in the Boruto series. Even if the current threat, Jura, is dealt with, other powerful enemies, like the Otsutsuki clan, will emerge, and Sasuke simply isn’t equipped to defeat them without a substantial increase in power.

Initially, Jugo’s Curse Mark was actually a form of Sage Mode. When I tested it by giving Sasuke some of Jugo’s chakra, he was able to activate this ability. — Orochimaru

While the Curse Mark alone isn’t enough, combining it with advanced technology could allow Sasuke to reach incredible strength – something fans are eager to see in Boruto. The same applies to Naruto; viewers want to see him develop new abilities upon his return, possibly even a unique power like Wood Release, and utilize more technological tools.

Naruto also had the option of finding the Tailed Beasts and becoming incredibly powerful himself. Regardless of which path he and Sasuke took, the next several years would be crucial in determining their ultimate destinies.
