LEGO Reveals Upcoming Pokemon Sets

LEGO and The Pokémon Company have just announced their first collaborative sets, launching in 2026! To celebrate, they’re also hosting a special challenge for fans. LEGO remains incredibly popular, consistently releasing new sets and collections, including exciting collaborations with franchises like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Marvel.

Nintendo and LEGO are continuing their successful partnership with several exciting projects planned for 2026. Last year, fans got a sneak peek at a new LEGO set based on The Legend of Zelda, though details are still limited. Another Animal Crossing LEGO set is also coming in 2026, but a smaller, introductory set didn’t generate much excitement. The biggest announcement, however, was the confirmation of a collaboration between LEGO and The Pokémon Company, and we’re now getting our first look at the upcoming sets.

LEGO Announces First Pokemon Sets for 2026

Even though details about the LEGO Pokémon sets have been circulating online for a while, LEGO has now officially announced them, including prices and a release date. The sets will be available starting February 27th, and while more sets may come out later in 2026, these are the ones launching next month.

Here are the confirmed LEGO Pokemon sets for 2026 so far:

LEGO Pokemon Pikachu and Poke Ball

The first LEGO set revealed features the iconic Pokémon, Pikachu! This 2,050-piece set shows Pikachu bursting out of a Poké Ball, complete with a black, lightning bolt-shaped base and energy effects. Fans can display Pikachu in an action pose, ready for battle, or seated calmly with the Poké Ball closed.

Fans of Pokémon will enjoy hidden details within the set, like the number 25 on the base – a nod to Pikachu’s official Pokédex number. The set is priced at $199.99.

LEGO Pokemon Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise

This LEGO set features the evolved forms of the original three Pokémon – Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur – from the classic Pokémon Red and Blue games. It’s a massive build with over 6,800 pieces! You can choose to display all three Pokémon together on a dynamic base, or showcase them separately. The base is cleverly designed with details reflecting each Pokémon’s natural habitat – waves for Blastoise, a flower garden for Venusaur, and a volcanic landscape for Charizard.

Beyond accurately recreating the designs, each model is also fully poseable, letting builders customize the arms, tails, and other parts. It’s a premium item, priced at $649.99, but pre-orders will receive a LEGO Pokemon Kanto Region Badge Collection as a special bonus.

LEGO Pokemon Eevee

The newest LEGO set features Eevee, the Normal-type Pokémon. It’s the smallest set of the three released so far, containing 587 pieces. Like the other Pokémon sets, you can move Eevee’s tail, head, and legs to create different poses. A special feature is the ‘Build Together’ app, which lets friends and family build the set collaboratively.

Because it includes fewer items, this option is significantly cheaper, costing just $59.99 USD.

Trainer Challenge

Beyond the new LEGO sets, a special Scavenger Hunt has begun for fans! Running from January 12th to February 27th, participants can search for hidden LEGO Pokémon clues on LEGO and Pokémon websites and content. Finding these clues unlocks rewards, with a chance to win the newly announced sets, and even bigger prizes! The grand prize winner will receive a trip to PokémonXP and the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco.

Fans can pre-order the sets now before they officially go on sale starting February 27, 2026. Given the excitement around these sets and how quickly past Pokemon Trading Card Game expansions have sold out online, these collections are likely to be very popular and in high demand.
