Masters of Albion, Peter Molyneux’s Final Game, Gets Release Date

Peter Molyneux’s latest game, Masters of Albion, will be released on April 22nd. The announcement came from the developer, 22cans, on Monday.

The game will be available exclusively on PC via Steam.

Masters of Albion Is A “Reimagining”

Masters of Albion, unveiled at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, is a fresh and innovative take on the classic “God Game” style of gameplay.

The game blends strategy, simulation, town building, and tower defense elements, immersing players in the detailed world of Albion. You begin in the humble village of Oakridge, taking on the role of a god who guides the town and its people, establishes businesses, and fulfills requests from customers.

The game is created by Peter Molyneux, known for popular titles like Fable, The Movies, and Populous. When it was first announced, the 66-year-old Molyneux hinted that Masters of Albion might be his final project, considering his age.

Molyneux stated in a recent announcement that the upcoming game builds upon ideas and concepts from his previous work.

According to the creator, ‘Masters of Albion’ represents a lifetime of work and is heavily inspired by classic games like ‘Dungeon Keeper,’ ‘Black & White,’ and ‘Fable.’ He describes it as a fresh and innovative title designed to bring the ‘God Game’ genre back into the spotlight and entertain players.
