As a huge fan of extraction shooters, I’m so hyped right now! The team behind Escape from Duckov just dropped a mysterious post hinting at their very first collaboration event. The community quickly figured it out – it looks like we’re getting Escape from Tarkov characters coming to Duckov! It’s a crossover I didn’t even know I needed, and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
Released in October 2025, Escape from Duckov became a fast hit, selling millions of copies and reaching over 301,000 simultaneous players on Steam. The game playfully mocks the often-difficult ‘extraction’ genre, and is a clear parody of the challenging shooter Escape from Tarkov.
Are Tarkov and Duckov Joining Forces?
The creators of the game Escape from Duckov, from Bilibili and Team Soda, recently shared a picture on social media of one of their duck characters looking at a whiteboard.
The whiteboard shows a surprising transformation: two ordinary ducks becoming intimidating figures. One is powerfully built and armed with a rifle, while the other wears body armor and carries a large hammer.
The post was accompanied by a message:
【Two ……. interconnected memory …… bloodline …… exceptional combat …… instability.】
This clearly alludes to Tagilla and Killa, two of the most well-known bosses in Escape from Tarkov. The characters are brothers, sharing a linked history and family connection. One is a highly skilled fighter, while the other is known for being unpredictable.
We’re excited to announce our first in-game collaboration! Something new is coming to Duckov, hinted at by mentions of linked memories, a powerful heritage, incredible fighting skills, and a touch of unpredictability. What do you think it will be? Share your guesses – a new weapon, item, or even a character from another world – in the comments!

This partnership feels natural and could lead to these characters appearing in a game outside of Escape from Tarkov, which would be a first.
Nikita Buyanov, the studio head at Battlestate Games, recently celebrated the strong launch of Escape from Tarkov, noting that it sold one million copies within days. At the time, we didn’t realize how significant that success would be – or how much more was on the horizon.
congratz guys! ducks are cool!

Escape from Duckov consistently attracts around 11,000 players daily on Steam. While Escape from Tarkov is mainly played through its own dedicated launcher, making total player numbers difficult to determine, approximately 26,000 people were playing on Steam at the time this was written.
