Initially, they intended to create a subsidiary focused on developing AI tools and services, including researching and building their own AI models to help with production. However, Cygames now states that they will not use generative AI to create artwork for their games and other products.

Cygames Releases New Statement on AI Studio

Cygames recently responded to community concerns about their new AI studio in a post on X (formerly Twitter). They clarified that they aren’t currently using AI-generated art in their games and won’t add it without letting players know first. Cygames also emphasized their respect for both gamers and the artists and creators who make games special.

The company explained that all artwork for their games, including Cyfames, is made by their own staff using both skill and effort. Cygames has apologized for upsetting the community and promised to support artists and creative freedom.
