The recent 3.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons might be bringing you back to the game after a while. If so, you’ll want to check out Resetti’s Reset Service. It lets you quickly and easily fix up your island – as Resetti puts it, ‘in the blink of a mole’s eye’ – making it easier to jump back into island life. This guide will show you where to find Resetti and how to use his service in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Where to Find Resetti in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
After you download and install the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 3.0 update, you’ll be able to find Resetti wandering around your island. We’ve played the update and haven’t found a specific place where he always appears, so you’ll need to explore everywhere to find him.
How to Use Resetti’s Reset Service in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Once you’ve located Resetti, talk to him and he’ll explain how restarting your island works. After the explanation, he’ll ask if you want to begin the reset process. If you’re still thinking about it, you can say no for now.
After this, you’ll be able to select which part of your island you want to change. Remember, it costs 60,000 Bells per day. This price lets you reset as many areas as you want throughout the day, so it’s smart to start early and take full advantage of the service to avoid a large charge.
Okay, so I just found out that your first day playing is totally free – that’s awesome! But, a little tip from someone who’s played before: it’s a good idea to have a rough plan for how you want to decorate or develop your island before you start, otherwise Resetti might have a thing or two to say!
What Can Resetti Reset?
- Furniture
- Fencing
- Ladders
- Anything placed on the ground on your island
- Clears out any cockroaches or bugs from your house
What Does Resetting Not Clear Up?
- Anything buried in the ground, like rocks or weeds
- Any shells or other items that wash up on your beaches
When Resetti tidies things up, they’ll automatically be sent to your storage. Make sure you have enough space there first! Luckily, the latest update increased storage to 9,000 items, so you should have plenty of room right after updating.
Resetting with Resetti lets you either revamp the whole island at once, or concentrate on particular spots like the beaches or any custom designs you’ve created.
Resetti offers an extra service where he can remove flowers and designs you’ve placed on the ground. This also lets you discard any flowers he collects, giving you a clean slate without having to store them.
Before Resetti resets your island, he’ll show you what it will look like afterward. You can ask for this preview to confirm he won’t delete anything important, or you can skip it and have him start the reset immediately.
After you’ve met Resetti once, you can use the reset service by talking to Isabelle at Town Hall whenever you need to.
